Lail said the team struggled to hit the ball, but was happy with pitching from senior captains Ramsay Taliaferro and Joe Schultz. For those two, it would be their last time playing at Stratton Myers Park as Knights, which...
Green River’s Zac Taylor recorded a pair of top-10 finishes with the POWRi Lucas Oil Rocky Mountain Midget Racing Association and it happened in just one day. The fourth annual Midget Round Up at Airport Raceway in Garden City, Kan., was rained out Friday, compressing the two-day show into a one-day affair Saturday with two complete programs. During the first show, Taylor started and finished fifth in his heat race, which relegated him into the B Main. “We got to second, which put us in the show, but we had to start 18th,” he said. “Todd...

The Raiders made a comeback in the second game of the night however, with the game ending 1...

When Manzanares isn't busy competing she works at the Green River High School media center. Prior to that, she was a sign-language interpreter. She also is the GRHS assistant track coach. This program encourages residents to help seniors and homebound residents by donating pet food, toys, beds and anything else a pet might need. Irish Kreis, GHSC activities and marketing coordinator, said this year they filled 77 tags with pet requests and all of those requests...
For some sportsmen, trophies are more slippery than shiny and the Wyoming Game and Fish Department has launched a new program to recognize the anglers reeling them in. The department has launched its Master Angler program to recognize anglers who catch trophy-sized game fish in Wyoming waters. Trophy fish represent the largest 5 percent of the 24 eligible species. Participating in the program is easy, even if catching a trophy is challenging. An angler who lands a fish that meets or exceeds the minimum qualifying length from snout to the tip...

While the Wolves have had some success against the Trojans throughout the season, including a 1-0 win at Regionals a week prior, the Trojans ended the Wolves’ season 2-0. Three Wolves were...

Two weeks ago, Taylor scored his first-ever non-wing sprint car win at the track and last week he drove to a third-place finish in a Grand American Modified on asphalt. “This is an incredible start to the year, especially when you consider I’ve never driven a non...
