    The Green River High School Boys and Girls Indoor Track team participated this past week in the Wyoming Indoor State Track and Field Championships hosted by Campbell County High School in Gillette. Both the young boys and girls teams finished 13th out of the 18 teams participating. Green River had seven participants make the finals for the boys and girls.     The Green River Wolves capped a very successful wrestling season by capturing the 2024 3A State Boys Varsity Wrestling Championship for the second year in a row. In the field of seventeen teams, the Green River High School Wrestling team scored 242 points, putting them 30 points ahead of a very strong second-place Pinedale team.     This past week the Green River Wolves Boys and Girls Varsity Wrestling teams competed in Riverton at the 3A Regional Championships. The Boys competed with eight other teams from the west including Pinedale, Cody, Powell, Evanston, Riverton, Lyman, Lander and Mountain View.     Green River’s Indoor Track team traveled to Pocatello, Idaho this past week to compete in one of the top high school Indoor Track meets in the nation, the Simplot Games. The team headed to the ICCU Dome, formerly the Holt Arena, on the campus of Idaho State University along with 21 other teams from Wyoming, as well as teams from many states and some foreign countries.
