A Green River High School graduate is making a name for himself on the collegiate level in cross country. Braden Reichl, who is a sophomore at the D-2 school Michigan Tech University, was recognized for finishing higher than any other cross country runner in MTU history in the 8K at the GLIAC Conference, which took place Nov. 3. As patriotic music played, Green River veterans gathered for a free meal and fellowship. On Friday, the Golden Hour Senior Center provided all veterans with a free meal, including a French dip, wedge fries, broccoli salad, peaches and a dessert. A Green River Boy Scout recently obtained the highest Boy Scout honor after carrying out his bat house project. For Boy Scout Troop 78 member Nathan Nelson, trying to help the community while completing a project for his Eagle Scout honor was something he just had to do. The Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County has made quite the turn around in its finances in one fiscal year. According to Sweetwater County Commissioner John Kolb, who acts as a liaison to MHSC, the audit recently conducted on the hospital came back clean.
