On a blustery wind chilled day in early spring, the Green River girls and boys track teams took the short drive to Rock Springs Saturday to compete with 13 other Southwest Wyoming track teams used to this unpredictable April weather to compete in the annual Ted Schroeder Invitational, named for the school’s former track coach.
Times and distances were impacted due to the strong winds and the accompanying wind chills. While this was generally the case, there were some exceptional efforts especially considering weather conditions.
