    Mike Nielsen, a motorcycle enthusiast and veteran, is traveling across the country to discuss the problem of suicide among veterans. Nielsen is a medically retired veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan and knows firsthand the pitfalls of depression and anxiety that can lead to so many suicide attempts among fellow veterans, as he has had his struggles with them personally.     Sports has always been a major part of the Flaming Gorge Days celebration and it's no different this year. Thursday will open the weekend's athletic contests with the annual golf tournament hosted at Rolling Green Country Club. The tournament is a two-person scramble ending on Saturday.     More than 140 years after Major John Wesley Powell started his historic expedition from Green River, a 64-year-old Michigan man is attempting his own trip down the river.     The Green River Knights finish with third place at the end of an invitational tournament the team hosted during the weekend. The Knights started strong Saturday afternoon with an impressive 10-3 win over the Douglas Cats.
