    It was a fantastic Saturday for the Green River High School track team. The team was split into two squads with athletes competing at the 15th annual Taylorsville Invitational in Utah and the Roy Peck Invite in Riverton. Head coach Steve Boyd said it was a good weekend. It was a tremendous day for the boy’s squad in Utah as they finished fourth out of 26 teams. Green River only finished behind Bingham, Copper Hills, and Riverton (Utah) High Schools.     In his middle school swimming career, eighth-grader Michael Richmond has broken an amazing four school records. With the season winding down, Richmond said he would like to break two more. According to Green River Middle School Coach Randy Walker, Richmond has broken school records in the 200 freestyle, 100 individual medley, 50 butterfly and 100 backstroke.   • Knights start 2015 season soon

    The Green River Knights will kick off their 2015 season with a two-day home tournament. It will be a round-robin tournament with several games against Evanston, Jackson, and Rock Springs. Games will being each day at 9 a.m. and conclude with a 6 p.m. game. This year, the Knights have expanded their program to include 15-year-olds and this in turn has allowed them to have a varsity or “A” team and a junior varsity or “B” team.
