Knights start 2015 season soon

The Green River Knights will kick off their 2015 season with a two-day home tournament.

It will be a round-robin tournament with several games against Evanston, Jackson, and Rock Springs.

Games will being each day at 9 a.m. and conclude with a 6 p.m. game.

This year, the Knights have expanded their program to include 15-year-olds and this in turn has allowed them to have a varsity or “A” team and a junior varsity or “B” team.

Green River Manager Stub Hatfield and Coach Brad Hatfield believe having two teams will allow them to work with kids and build the varsity team over four years. This year’s team will include many key returning players as well as a dozen new Knights.

“We are very excited for the future of Knight Baseball in Green River and hope the community will come support our team throughout the summer,” Hatfield said.
