Several people have been arrested by local and state law enforcement recently on drug charges, including one man who the Rock Springs Police Department allegedly found in possession of Fentanyl pills.
On Thursday, May 18, officers with Rock Springs Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a dark-colored passenger vehicle, according to a press release. Contact was made with the passenger of the vehicle, identified as Alec Praytor, who had an active warrant for his arrest. A search was conducted where drug paraphernalia and pills were located. In total, 243 Fentanyl pills and three grams of methamphetamine were located, according to the RSPD.
Subsequently, Alec Praytor was arrested for alleged unlawful manufacture or delivery - schedule I or II narcotic drug; unlawful possession – pill or capsule > 3 grams; unlawful possession – schedule I II or III > 3 ounces, 3/10 gram, 3 grams or 5/10 gram respective; and additional charges related to the warrant.
Praytor, who is from Casper, is now being held in the Sweetwater County Detention Center with a $50,000 bond.
A Rock Springs man, Tracy Ray Warren, was also booked into the Sweetwater County Detention Center on May 18 after being arrested by the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI). He faces multiple charges of alleged unlawful manufacture or delivery - schedule I or II narcotic drug, as well as multiple charges relating to alleged traffic offenses, resisting arrest, and fleeing or attempting to elude police officers. He is being held with a $500,000 bond.
Three other Rock Springs men were also arrested by DCI last week and booked into the Detention Center May 16. Robert Neil Houston, James Robert Combs and Brent Barry Quickenden all face charges of alleged unlawful possession - Schedule I or II > 3 ounces, 3/10 gram, 3 grams or 5/10 gram respective; unlawful manufacture or delivery - schedule I or II narcotic drug; attempts and conspiracies; and other charges. Houston and Combs both have $150,000 bonds and Quickenden has a $125,000 bond.
Law enforcement officers would like to remind the public that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
