At 2:23 p.m., officers responded to an ambulance assist involving a subject causing a disturbance, being violent and damaging property on Upland Way. Officers met with the individual’s caretaker and the subject was transported to the hospital. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:25 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported one vehicle was traveling south on Upland Drive and a second vehicle was at the drive way into the north entrance into Green River High School. The second vehicle pulled out into the roadway of Upland Way and the front passenger side of the vehicle struck the driver’s side of the first vehicle. Officers issued the driver of the second vehicle, a juvenile, of Green River, a citation for alleged inattentive driving with a crash. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 5:57 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats or harassment. Officers met with several individuals involved in a verbal dispute. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

Oct. 6

At 10:26 a.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary on East Teton Boulevard. Officers met with an individual who reported items missing. After investigation and meeting with another family member, it was believed there were not any items stolen. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:42 a.m., officers were flagged down by a citizen for a citizen assist at Smith’s. Officers met with the individual, gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 1:48 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-car collision at Andrew’s Park. It was reported one vehicle was backing out of their driveway and struck the driver’s side of a second vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied on the west side of the roadway. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:31 p.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious subject looking in automobile windows at The Brewery. Officers checked the area and it did not appear that any vehicles were damaged or rummaged through, and did not identify any evidence of vandalism or burglary. Officers located an individual matching the description of the individual and made contact. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 3:46 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Alabama Drive. It was reported one vehicle was backing out of parking space traveling east, and a second vehicle was backing out of a parking space traveling west, the rear bumpers of the vehicles collided. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:06 p.m., officers responded to a report of found property at Jackson Elementary School. Officers met with an individual who found a cell phone laying on the sidewalk. Officers collected the phone (a black Samsung) for safekeeping and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:54 p.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog on Anvil Drive. Officers located the dog and attempted to make contact at the residence. Officers posted a notice and completed a report of the incident.

Oct. 7

At 7:23 a.m., officers responded to a report of property damage at Stratton Myers Park. Officers met with the reporting party who advised a vehicle had been damaged at the park the previous night. Officers observed the damage and made contact with the owner of the vehicle. Officers were unable to locate a suspect at the time of the report. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 11:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of harassment. Officers met with the reporting party who advised someone has been attempting to get them fired from their place of employment. The reporting party advised they just wanted the situation documented and they did not want the other party contacted. Officers completed a report of the incident. At 4:06 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Shoshone Avenue and Tigee Circle and issued the driver, Arianna Miller, 21, of Green River, a citation for alleged seat belt: driver violation.

At 4:46 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Upland Way and West Teton Boulevard and issued the driver, Brooke Richardson, 30, of Green River, citations for alleged failure to maintain liability coverage, valid driver’s license violation, and child safety restraint system violation.

At 5:43 p.m., officers responded to a report of subject removal. Upon arrival officers met with the reporting party who advised they wanted an individual removed from the residence. Officers found the individual to have an active warrant. Officers placed Ashley Dugan, 36, of Green River, under arrest per the active warrant. Officers transported Dugan to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 8:17 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single vehicle crash at Green River High School. Upon arrival officers met with the driver who reported that they were driving in the high school parking lot when the driver turned facing the sun and did not see a light pole in front of the vehicle. The vehicle collided with the light pole, causing damage to the vehicle. Officers took photos of the damage and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:02 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Shoshone Avenue. Vehicle one was stopped for a deer in the roadway. The driver of vehicle two did not see vehicle one stopped and collided with the rear end of vehicle one. Officers observed the damage to both vehicles and issued the driver of vehicle two, Madison Yoak, 18, of Green River, citations for alleged following too close and inattentive driving. Officers completed a report of the incident.

Oct. 8

At 11:03 a.m., officers responded to a report of a runaway juvenile. Officers met with the parents who provided the juvenile’s information to officers. Later in the day officers were informed that the juvenile had returned home. Officers met with the juvenile and ensured they would remain at home. Officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 1:05 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Uinta Drive and E 2nd S Street and issued the driver, Brianna Grenier, 21, of Rock Springs, a citation for alleged vehicle registration - valid title, registration, plates or permits violation.

At 3:57 p.m., officers responded to a report of fraud on W 3rd N Street. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they had been the victim of an online scam and had suffered monetary loss. Officers had no leads to follow to identify a suspect. Officers provided the victim with information to help prevent future fraudulent charges and possible scams. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 8:33 p.m., officers responded to a report of forgery at the Loaf ‘N Jug on Uinta Drive. Upon arrival officers met with the reporting party who advised a customer had tried to pay with counterfeit bills. Officers met with the customer who stated they received the money after cashing a check. Officers seized the counterfeit money and completed a report of the incident.

Oct. 9

At 2:54 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Andrews Street and Barnhart Street and issued the driver, Alvaro Leon, 32, of Vernal, Utah, citations for alleged no valid driver’s license and failure to maintain liability coverage.

At 9:07 a.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active warrant. Officers made contact with the individual and confirmed the warrant. Tawney Nelson,35, of Green River was placed under arrest per the active warrant. Officers transported Nelson to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 1:08 p.m., officers responded to a report of a runaway juvenile. Officers met with the parents who provided the juvenile’s information to officers. Later in the day officers located the juvenile. Officers contacted the juvenile’s parents and they transported the juvenile home. Officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 1:11 p.m., officers responded to a report of larceny on Clark Street. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they had a hitch stolen off of their vehicle. Officers gathered information about the missing item and possible areas where it could have gone missing but were unable to locate a suspect. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 4:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle being shot by something at Uinta Drive and River View Drive. Upon meeting with the reporting party officers determined the vehicle was shot by a nerf dart or a splatter ball. No damage was reported to the vehicle. The reporting party provided a suspect name. Officers have been unable to locate the suspect at the time of the report. This case is still under investigation. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 5:26 p.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny on Bridger Drive. The reporting party advised that after having someone at their apartment they noticed items missing. The victim provided officers with the suspect’s information. Officers were unable to locate the suspect at the time of the report. This case is still active under investigation. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 7:53 p.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog on Hitching Post Drive. Officers located the dog and spoke with the owner who advised they would make sure to keep the barking under control. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 8:54 p.m., officers responded to a report of a runaway juvenile. Officers met with the parents who provided the juvenile’s information to officers. Officers met with a few of the juvenile’s friends who reported they had not seen the individual. This case is still under investigation. Officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 9:09 p.m., officers responded to a report of larceny at Smith’s. The reporting party advised they had seen an unknown individual enter their vehicle. The reporting party yelled at the individual and they got out of the car and into a vehicle with several other individuals and left the area. The reporting party advised they didn’t think anything was missing from the vehicle. Officers were unable to locate the suspect at the time of the report. This case is still under investigation. Officers completed a report of the incident.

Oct. 10

At 10:58 a.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run on Upland Way. Officers met with the reporting party who advised their vehicle had been hit within the last few hours. Officers observed the damage to the vehicle but were unable to locate any evidence to identify a suspect vehicle. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 1:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of larceny at Jas Storage. Officers met with the reporting party who advised that they had fuel siphoned from their motor home within the last three weeks. Officers looked around the area for any evidence to help identify a suspect, but were unable to locate any. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 6:37 p.m., officers responded to a report of larceny reported at the GRPD. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they were having a dispute with another individual over payment on a phone plan. Officers attempted to get in contact with the other party but were unable to at the time of the report. Officers completed a report of the incident.

Oct. 11

At 5:23 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism on Bridger Drive. The reporting party advised they had found a small hole in their window which they suspected came from a BB. Officers observed the damage and completed a report of the incident.

Oct. 12

At 7:36 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Coachman Inn Motel in reference to a burglary. Two subjects noticed damage to the door of the hotel room they were staying in after arriving late but did not notice anything stolen. When they woke up, they reported it to the police and manager. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the subjects were unable to enter the room and had broken in and did not remember since they were intoxicated. The burglary was unfounded and the subjects agreed to pay for damages to the door. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 9:21 a.m., officers were dispatched to Cumorah Way for a loud music and noise complaint coming from a residence. Once on scene, officers were unable to hear any noise coming from inside the residence, or any music being played in the area. Officers were unable to make contact with the occupant, and contacted the reporting party.

At 11:51 a.m., officers were dispatched to Kentucky Street for a report of stolen Halloween decorations. The reporting person stated there was a witness with video footage of the incident, in which an individual was observed taking the decorations from the yard. Later in the day, officers were again dispatched to the area after the owner found two of the three stolen yard decorations in another neighboring yard. The owner of the home did not know how the decorations ended up in their yard. Officers spoke with surrounding neighbors and they did not observe anything suspicious. No suspects have been identified at this time. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 2:09 p.m., officers were dispatched to Smith’s in reference to a theft that had occurred earlier in the day. Upon arrival, officers met with the store manager who reported that they have had a customer that they suspected of and have now confirmed by video that has shoplifted by putting bottles of alcohol down their pants. The individual  goes to the counter with more alcohol and states that they forgot their wallet, goes outside to retrieve it, and does not return to pay. Officers were unable to identify the individual in the surveillance footage at this time. Officers completed a report of the incident.

Oct. 13

At 9:50 a.m., officers were contacted for a report of a crash that may have occurred at Green River High School.The reporting party believed that the vehicle was hit while parked in the parking lot the night before, but was not certain as they had made various stops before noticing the damage. Damage consisted of the hood to be dented, along with the hood latch being bent and observable scrapes on both the hood and grille of the vehicle. No suspect information has been obtained at this time. Officers completed a crash report.

At 10:25 a.m., officers responded to the Green River Municipal Court for a report of an individual with a warrant that was in the lobby. Upon arrival, officers confirmed the warrant and placed Joseph H. James, 42, of Green River, under arrest for an active failure to appear bench warrant out of Green River Municipal Court. Officers transported James to the Sweetwater County detention center without incident and completed a report of the arrest.

At 12:01 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats and harassment. Upon arrival, officers discovered it was a neighbor dispute regarding their dogs being in close proximity to each other, and yelling, and no threats had occurred. Both parties agreed to avoid any further confrontation in the future and remove themselves from the situation as they live in close proximity to each other. Officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 11:18 p.m., officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at East Teton Boulevard and N Riverbend Drive for an equipment violation, which was a headlight not working on the passenger side. The driver, Seyarra F. Puckett, 23, of Green River, was later found to have a suspended driver’s license. The driver was issued a citation for alleged driving while license canceled, suspended or revoked; 31-7-134(a) and released. Officers completed a report of the incident.

Oct. 14

At 2:16 p.m., officers responded to a business in reference to a report of harassment. The reporting party stated that they are having a dispute with another individual over a phone plan, and are now being threatened and harassed by text messages and phone calls. No contact has been made with the suspect party at this time. The reporting party was advised on how to seek a protection order. This case is still active. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 8:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of an individual in the possession of a toy gun that shoots plastic pellets. Officers collected the toy pellet gun, and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 11:36 a.m., officers responded to a report of found drug paraphernalia at Evers Park. Officers collected the suspected marijuana pipe and completed a report of the incident.

At 12:03 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of N 4th W Street and West Flaming Gorge Way for a report of a two-vehicle accident. It was reported the first vehicle was traveling east bound approaching the intersection when the second vehicle initiated a left-hand turn, and the first vehicle struck the second vehicle. Officers issued the driver of the second vehicle, Ronald Barlow, of Green River, citations for alleged stop sign violation and vehicle registration - valid title, registration, plates or permits violation. The driver of the first vehicle was found to have a suspended license and was subsequently arrested for alleged driving while suspended. EMS evaluated both drivers and no transports were made. Officers issued citations for alleged DWUS and failure to provide proof of liability insurance to Jaden Logan, of Rock Springs, and transported Logan to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, then completed a report of the incident.

At 4:51 p.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing at The Hitching Post. Officers met with staff who requested an individual be trespassed from the property. Officers met with the individual, issued the trespass warning, and completed a report of the incident.

At 6:57 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance at Maverick. Officers arrived in the area and observed the individual sitting at the park bench located on the property. Officers met with the store assistant manager who requested to have the individual issued a trespass warning for the property. Officers issued the trespass warning and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:37 p.m., officers responded to a report of larceny at Mansface Liquor. Officers met with the owner who reported they had detained an individual who put a bottle of liquor into their pants and then proceeded to leave the store. Officers met with the individual and located the bottle of liquor. Officers placed Thomas Potton, of Green River, under arrest and issued a citation for alleged shoplifting second offense. Officers transported Potton to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

Oct. 15

At 3:03 a.m., officers responded to a report of suspected stalking at Penny’s Diner. Officers met with individuals who reported that an individual was possibly following them. Officers met with the other individual, gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 5:08 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at East Teton Boulevard and Colorado Drive and issued the driver, Jose Lopez, of Rock Springs, a citation for alleged no valid DL and/or violation of DL conditions.

Oct. 16

At 5:49 a.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing at Penny’s Diner. Officers made contact with the manager who requested a trespass warning be issued to the individual. Officers observed an individual matching the description of the individual reported and made contact. Officers issued the trespass warning and the individual requested EMS services. The individual was transported and officers completed a report of the incident. 

At 10:34 a.m., Animal Control Officers responded to a report of a small dog being kept in an enclosure outside with no food or water on Monroe Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observed a small dachshund mix dog in an enclosure made of mesh metal panels, and there did not appear to be any food or water present with the dog in the enclosure. Officers made contact at the residence and met with the owner. Officers advised of the situation, issued a verbal notice to abate and completed a report of the incident.

At 5:03 p.m., officers responded to a REDDI report for a possible intoxicated driver on E 4th S Street. Officers observed a vehicle matching the description, then observed the vehicle drift from one lane to the other without using a turn indicator. Officers conducted a traffic stop and met with the driver of the vehicle. Officers made contact with the driver, and subsequently placed Michael Aimone, of Green River, under arrest and issued a citation for alleged DWUI .08 or greater. Officers transported Aimone to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
