Two more triumphs for the swimmers

The Lady Wolves traveled to Evanston on Tuesday, October 4 for the Evanston vs Green River Dual.

Leading the way for Green River in the 200 Yard Freestyle was Tanith Smith who took first place in the event. Emilee Barnes had a strong swim in the 200 Yard Individual Medley, winning first place.

Another quick swimmer, Brianna Uhrig, took first place in the 100 Yard Butterfly. Ivory Neher glided through the water and snagged another win in the 100 Yard Freestyle. Hailey Luth showed endurence during the 500 Yard Freestyle, a very tough event, and took another first place for Green River. Speedster Tavia Arnell won two individual events, the 100 Yard Backstroke and the 100 Yard Breaststroke.

Green River's relay teams worked together perfectly and have built a strong competitive squad of swimmers. The Wolves "A" team took first place in all three of the relay events against Evanston.

The Wolves ended the meet taking first place in 10 out of 12 events.

There were six teams that participated in the Rawlins Invitational that took place Saturday: Rawlins, Worland, Lyman, Sublette County, Kemmerer and Green River.

The Lady Wolves started off with three back-to-back wins and pulled in front from the very beginning of the meet. With all of the first place finishes, Green River continued to stay ahead of the other five teams.

Tanith Smith took first place in the 200 Yard Freestyle and second in the 100 Yard Freestyle. Tavia Arnell won the 200 Yard IM and the 100 Yard Butterfly. High points for the Wolves also came from Haley Clevenger winning the 500 Yard Freestyle. Before the last event, Brianna Uhrig showed off her skills in the 100 Yard Breaststroke and took another first place finish for Green River. Zella Maez had amazing dives and scored the most points in the 1 Meter Diving event. The "A" relay teams defeated all the other teams once again.

The Lady Wolves will travel to Laramie this weekend for the Laramie Invite that takes place Friday and Saturday.
