Tennis team keeps swinging

Braxton Cordova took a swing at the ball during a match in Green River against Powell on Friday.

After falling to a strong Jackson team in their first meet of the season, Green River's girls and boys tennis teams took the long bus ride north to Gillette to take on Thunder Basin and Campbell County high schools.

The girls were swept by Thunder Basin, though they had a couple of close doubles games. Against Campbell County the Lady Wolves #3 doubles team of Raygan Cochrun and Jocelyn Peterson won a close match 7-6 (7-4 tiebreaker) and 7-5.

The boys swept their matches with both Campbell County and Thunder Basin, winning 5-0 led by their #1 and #2 players from Braxton Cordova and Korbin...
