Dennis Edward Tronquet

Dennis Edward Tronquet, 70, passed away July 7, 2022 at Sage View Care Center in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He was a life-long resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming. Mr. Tronquet died following a lengthy illness.

He was born September 22, 1951 in Rock Springs, Wyoming; the son of Gordon Mark Tronquet and Helen Lindroos.

Mr. Tronquet attended schools in Rock Springs and was a 1970 graduate of Rock Springs High School.

He married Susan Mitchelson on March 2, 1974 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. They had three beautiful sons from this union and later divorced but remained friends over the years.

Mr. Tronquet was a United States Navy Veteran having served in Vietnam War.

He worked for the City of Rock Springs as a Firefighter for 17 years having retired in 1992. Mr. Tronquet also worked for the Sweetwater County School District #1 for 23 years as a Bus Driver.

Mr. Tronquet was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Community.

He was a member of the American Legion Archie Hay Post #24.

Mr. Tronquet loved spending time with his family especially his three sons. He was an avid fan of Nascar; and enjoyed most other sports.

Survivors include his three sons, Brian Tronquet of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Lucas Tronquet of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Dennis Tronquet of Rock Springs, Wyoming; three sisters, Margaret Wood of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Donna Moyer and husband Paul of Thorp, Wisconsin; Lisa Tronquet of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one niece Maria Irwin and husband Dan; one nephew Shawn Mann; one great niece, Kynsie; one great nephew, Kolton Irwin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Tronquet and wife Helen; paternal grandparents, Anton Tronquet and wife Margaret Tronquet Fabreque; maternal grandparents Oscar Lindroos and wife Hilda Lindroos; several aunts, uncles and one brother who died in infancy.

Cremation will take place; a Rosary will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 116 Broadway Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted immediately following the Rosary. Military Graveside Services and inurnment will be in the American Legion Columbarium.
