Green River Police Department reports for June 7

At 11:07 p.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog complaint on Hutton Street. Officers located the residence and attempted to make contact with the owner. Officers completed a report of the incident and forwarded the case to Green River Animal Control.

June 8

At 3:59 p.m., officers responded to a report of a violation of a court order on Wilderness Trail. Officers met with an individual who reported the violation. Officers contacted the other party, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:47 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Faith Drive. Officers met with the individual that had caused a disturbance and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:18 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

June 9

At 12:44 a.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog complaint on West Teton Boulevard. Officers located the residence and attempted to make contact with the owner. Officers completed a report and forwarded the case to Green River Animal Control.

At 4:34 a.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Pizza Hut. Officers made contact with the individual, who was later determined to have been reported missing a week prior. Officers contacted the juvenile’s parent or guardian and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:39 a.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog complaint on Mississippi Street. Officers made contact at the residence and advised the owner of the complaint. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision at Stellar Coffee at 705 Uinta Drive. It was reported a vehicle was backing up towards the building to make a delivery and struck the building. Officers met with the driver, William Follum, of Rock Springs, and issued a citation for alleged inattentive driving and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:45 a.m., officers met with an individual who reported unwanted solicitation from a Vivint representative on Bridger Drive. Officers met with the individual, who was found to be working without a proper permit. Officers gathered information, advised the Vivint representative, and completed a report of the incident. 

At 10:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog complaint on North 5th West Street. Officers made contact with the owner, advised of the complaint, issued a verbal warning, and completed a report of the incident.

June 10

At 11:54 a.m., officers responded to a report of fraud at City Hall. Officers met with an individual who reported a suspicious email. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. No monetary losses were reported.

At 1 p.m., officers along with an underage buyer conducted tobacco compliance checks with local businesses that sell tobacco products. Eight businesses were checked and all were found to be in compliance, and officers completed a report.

At 3:25 p.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny on Hitching Post Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported the license plate from their vehicle was missing. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 4:17 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with individuals involved in a prior domestic altercation. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 7:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on West Teton Boulevard. Officers met with an individual who reported a vehicle that was missing. It was reported that an individual, previously given permission to use the vehicle, had taken the vehicle without permission. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:22 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Wilson Street. It was reported one vehicle was traveling south when it struck the rear of a second vehicle which was parked and unoccupied. Officers issued the driver of the first vehicle, Dalton Hobgood, of Green River, citations for alleged inattentive driving and failure to maintain liability coverage. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

June 11

At 8:07 a.m., officers responded to a report of an unattended death. Officers assisted EMS personnel and the Coroner. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. No suspicious circumstances are suspected, and the case is still under investigation. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 4:48 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 10:52 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding and issued the driver, a juvenile, 15, of Green River, a verbal warning for alleged speed and a citation for compulsory auto insurance violation - 1st offense.

June 12

At 10:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious individual who was seen walking near the railyard and attempting to get into buildings belonging to UPRR. Officers located the individual and made contact. The individual appeared to be confused and in need of assistance. EMS was called and the individual was transported. Officers completed a report of the incident.

June 13

At 2:34 p.m., officers responded to a report of a truck pulling a house trailer that struck the awning at Green River Auto Sales, causing damage. Officers met with the driver and owner of the property, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:18 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats. Officers met with an individual who reported receiving threatening text messages. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 11:12 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Uinta Drive and Shoshone Avenue and issued the driver, Shayne Macdonald, of Green River, a citation for alleged no Valid driver’s license or violation of driver’s license conditions.
