Lady Wolves basketball team earn conference wins

The Green River High School girls basketball team is moving up in conference competition, getting two more wins last weekend.

First the Lady Wolves fought for a close win over Evanston last Thursday, coming out on top in a 43-41 finish. The competition stayed neck-and-neck for the first two quarters. Green River began to pull ahead in the third quarter and early fourth quarter when Evanston began to close the gap. Towards the end Green River struggled with turning the ball over and missing some free throws, according to Coach Rick Carroll, but they held it together to get the win.
