Jimmy M. Donald Sr.

Jimmy M. Donald Sr., 91, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at his home in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He was a resident of Rock Springs for the last 50 years and former resident of Utah, Colorado and New Mexico.

Mr. Donald was born September 2, 1930 in Holy Ridge, Louisiana; his was the son of Floyd Donald and Olivia Tobin.

He attended schools in Rayville, Louisiana and graduated from Rayville High School in 1948.

Mr. Donald married LuJean Murray in 1952 and they later divorced. There were three children from this union.

He married Norma Jean King, February 21, 1972. She proceeded him in death on Saturday, November 6, 2021.

Mr. Donald was the owner operator of Donald's Trucking and provided water services for many oilfield businesses for 40 years before retiring in 1991.

He enjoyed spending time with his family; listening to country music; water skiing; gambling and fishing. He provided for his children and grandchildren. He was a high roller and a man of integrity.

Survivors include; one son; Jimmy Mayse Donald Jr. and wife Cathy of Gillette, Wyoming, one daughter; Nancy Hanson and husband Gene of Gillette, Wyoming,one step daughter; Carla Moore of Santa Clara, Utah, eight grandchildren; Amber, Nate Robbie, Olivia, Joy, Melissa, Chris and Mike. Several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his wife; Norma Jean; his parents; Floyd and Olivia Donald; one daughter, Julia Reeves; one grandson Jimmy (JD) Mayse Donald III ; four brothers, Sonny Donald, Otha Donald, Clyde Donald, Lavelle Donald; three sisters; Ozie Adcock, Pearl Jowers, Bobbie Fallin.

His family respectfully requests donations be made in Jimmy's memory to any animal rescue group.

Cremation has taken place and private family graveside services will be held at a later date in Louisiana.
