David L. Swindell

David L. Swindell, 83, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He is a resident of Green River, Wyoming since 1992 and former resident of Colorado and Wyoming.

He was born on November 24, 1937 in Fruita, Colorado; the son of Joshua Ernest Swindell and Mildred Minerva Groves.

Mr. Swindell attended schools in Fruita, Colorado and was a 1956 graduate of Fruita High School.

He married Roberta C. Hart on November 24, 1958 in Denver, Colorado.

Mr. Swindell worked at General Chemical eight years until his retirement in 2000 as an Electrical Superintendent.

He was a member of Green River Bible Baptist Church.

Mr. Swindell loved flying his model airplanes, traveling, rock hounding and being a master craftsman.

Survivors include his wife Roberta C. Swindell of Green River, Wyoming, his son, Clark David Swindell and wife Sun Yong of Green River, Wyoming; his daughter, Sharon Louise Carpenter and husband Mike of Green River, Wyoming; two grandchildren, David Clark Swindell and wife Sarah; Elysia Yong Swindell; two great-grandchildren, Lee Clark Swindell; Lilly Annabelle Swindell; as well as several cousins; nieces; nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Elma Cooper; one brother, Gayle Swindell.

Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Riverview Cemetery.
