Leonard "Lennie" A. Kaumo

Leonard "Lennie" A. Kaumo, 67, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021 at his home in Rock Springs, Wyoming surrounded by family, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Kaumo was a life-long resident of Rock Springs.

He was born November 26, 1953 in Rock Springs, Wyoming; the son of Leno Kaumo and Leola Carter.

Mr. Kaumo attended schools in Rock Springs and was a 1972 graduate of Rock Springs High School. He also attended The University of Wyoming where he earned a Bachelors' of Science in Anthropology and Geology. Later, Leonard attended The University of Wyoming Law Program where he earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree.

Leonard married Sherri Druce on September 24, 1970 in Manila, Utah.

Mr. Kaumo Owned and Operated Kaumo Law PC for 42 years, until his retirement. During this time Leonard served as Sweetwater County Attorney for four years.

He was a member of Wyoming State Bar; American Bar Association; Wyoming Trial Lawyer Association; Wyoming Associate of Criminal Defense Lawyer; United States Junior Chamber Jaycees, and was Past President of the Board of Treatment Court of Sweetwater County Foundation.

Mr. Kaumo was a family man who enjoyed traveling, especially with friends and family to Mexico; golfing, and fishing at Dutch Joe meadow.

Survivors include his wife, Sherri Kaumo of Rock Springs, Wyoming; three daughters, Jodi Barnum and husband Charles of Rock Springs; Jackie Marvel and husband Jason of Wasilla, Alaska; Kari Costantino and husband Zackery of Rock Springs; one sister, Kristy Kay Anselmi of Rock Springs; one sister-in-law, Sharon Kaumo of Gillette, Wyoming; father-in-law, Darrell "Lee" Druce of Rock Springs; six grandchildren, Charlie Barnum and wife Ashley; Katelyn Buller and husband Dalton; Mariana Marvel and husband Tyler Almquist; Alisandra Marvel; Parker Costantino; Cambry Costantino; two great-grandchildren, Barrett Buller; Charlee Grace Barnum, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dr. Jerry Kaumo; Karl Kaumo, and mother-in-law, JoAnn Druce.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 26, 2021 at Sweetwater Events Complex, 3320 Yellowstone Road, Rock Springs, Wyoming. Interment will be in Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call at the Events Complex 30 minutes prior to Funeral Services.
