Beck Shields will be fighting for a fly weight title in Mississippi Saturday evening. The Green River resident hopes to become a professional fighter after turning 18.
Beck "The Last Boy Scout" Shields has been busy over the past few months.
The 17-year-old MMA fighter has continued a rigorous training schedule and participated three amateur fights, including his first jiu-jitsu match since his last major bout in Mississippi last October.
Beck, who attends the Wyoming Virtual Academy as his training schedule makes it difficult to attend classes in person, said the heavy training and previous bouts have left him feeling more confident as he prepares for his next major bout in Horn Lake Mississippi Saturday.
