Javier Enrique Moreno

Javier Enrique Moreno, 18, passed away Feb. 17, 2019, at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, surrounded by his family. He was a lifelong resident of Rock Springs.

Javier was born Aug. 8, 2000, in Rock Springs, the son of Daniel and Annabell Moreno.

He attended schools in Rock Springs and was a 2018 graduate of the Rock Springs High School.

Javier was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Community.

He loved learning and working with his hands to figure out new things. Javier enjoyed throwing for the track team, playing instruments including; trumpet, sousaphone, and tuba. He also enjoyed old cars, attending church retreats, watching television and movies. Javier loved driving his car with the music blaring, hanging out with his "squad," spending time with family and cooking. Most of all Javier loved to be right in any conversation, towering over his friends and family with a huge smile. 

Survivors include his parents, Daniel Moreno Delgadillo and Annabell Michelle Moreno; one brother, Dante Moreno; two sisters, DiAnna Moreno, Leonor Moreno, all of Rock Springs; two adopted sisters, Kylee Taylor of Rock Springs and Rosie Lee Chung, of Paraguay; paternal grandparents, Jesus Mario Moreno and Maria Ines Delgadillo of Los Mochis, Mexico; maternal grandparents, Mical Stamper of Lander and Victoria Ann Griffin of Rock Springs; adopted grandmothe, Laurel Estep; many cousins, aunts, and uncles including Jesus Francisco Moreno Delgadillo and family, Maria Guadalupe Moreno Delgadillo and family, Shara Griffin and family, Adam Skorcz and family, Michael Griffin and his boys.

A vigil service with rosary took place Tuesday.

The family respectfully suggests that donations in Javier's memory be made to the Rock Springs High School music and Marching Band programs, 1375 James Drive, Rock Springs, WY., 82901.

Pallbearers: Tanner Varndell, John Prevedel, T.J. Davis, Clay Wells,  Colin Murcray, and J.J. Lovato.
