Swim team ends season at state

The Green River High School boy’s swim team wrapped up their season with some solid swims at the 4A State Tournament in Casper.

Senior Paul Wright was the top individual finisher for Green River. He finished seventh in the 100-yard butterfly. He also placed 11th in the 200-yard IM.

Sophomore Keyan Moore placed eighth place in 1-meter diving.

Brendan Bloomquist placed ninth in the 100-yard breaststroke and was 21st in the 200-yard IM.

Ethan Moffatt placed 15th in the 100-yard breaststroke.

The Wolves had two relay teams finish in ninth place.

The team of Philip Blume, Bloomquist, Wright and Moffatt finished ninth in the 200-yard medley, and the team of Bloomquist, Moffatt, Curry-Hobbs and Wright also placed ninth in the 200-freestyle relay.

Head coach Colleen Seiloff said the team swam well and a lot of swimmers improved their times.

“We did well,” Seiloff said.

She said some of younger swimmers on the team really came along this year, and hopefully they will come back strong next season.
