    The Sweetwater Board of Cooperative Educational Services Children’s Honor Choir will host registration for the 2014-15 season on two different dates: Sept. 4 Sept. 10. Registration is open from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Rock Springs Junior High Choir Room.     After nearly two weeks of practice, four of the five varsity teams at Green River High School will get their first chance to compete starting Friday.     The Green River High School golf team was the first local team to start the season. The Wolves boys and girls teams headed to Riverton last Thursday for a two-day tournament. Leading the way for the boy’s team was Brock Ortega who had a two-day total of 169 and finished in 20th place. Kyle Goglio finished 25th with a 173. J.D. Richardson and Trevor Ginestar tied for 46th with a two-day total of 220. Patrick Harvey finished in 49th place with a total of 240 strokes. The team ended up in tenth place.     Mission at Castle Rock Rehabilitation Center has been making changes to the inside of the building. Activities Director Annie Walk said last Thursday Mission at Castle Rock employees and some of its residents painted the foyer. Walk said this goes along with the other changes that are gradually taking place. So far, the hallways and foyer have new floors and the foyer has a fresh coat of paint.     On a warm Monday afternoon, people driving by the soon-to-be Wilson Elementary School Building may have noticed groups of middle schoolers beating on buckets with drumsticks. The nice weather and a test scheduled in their normal classroom resulted in students from the general music class having an opportunity to learn in the sunshine.
