    Almost every Friday morning, a group of Green River seniors meet in the craft room to paint, visit and work on other projects. Last Friday was no different.     The Lady Wolves are going to Casper. The girls basketball team earned a spot in the state basketball tournament over the weekend after defeating Kelly Walsh at the regional tournament. The girls defeated Kelly Walsh 51-43 at the start of the tournament, but fell to Natrona 75-21 Friday and Evanston, 53-26 Saturday.     Wyoming’s Josh Adams has been voted the Mountain West Player of the Year by members of the media who cover the conference. The senior guard earned seven of 11 votes for the award and tallied 160 points for All-MW first-team honors as well, while junior guard Jason McManamen claimed honorable mention.     Two athletes involved with the Green River High School Indoor Track team finished the season with medals at the state meet in Gillette over the weekend. Josie Givens earned her third all-state award during the competition, finishing second in the girls 800-meters and seventh in the girls 1600-meters.     The Green River High School boys basketball team's season came to a close Thursday, after losing the opening regional tournament game against Evanston High School, 66-38. Green River started the game in the lead, when Sophomore Gavin Heiser made the first score in the game, 1 of 2 from the foul line. The Wolves were able to keep Evanston at bay for a while.
