    Scout troop donates blankets and care packages The Sweetwater Regional Cancer Center recently was gifted a generous donation of 48 blankets, care packages, and port pillows for patients from the Boy Scouts of America's Girl Troop 1869. This project was led by senior patrol leader, Tiana Lester, as part of her Eagle Scout project.     In honor of National Girl Scout Week, Aspen Moore and her parents were surprised with a special baby basket full of goodies donated by the Green River Girl Scouts to the first girl born this week. The baby basket was delivered to the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County Labor and Delivery Unit last week.     The first baby born this year in Sweetwater County made her appearance on January 4, 2023. Chelsea and Justin Elenbaum of Green River welcomed a precious baby girl into the world on January 4. Baby Alora was born at 9:35 a.m. weighing 7 pounds, 13.3 ounces, and measuring in at 20 inches. Alora is the youngest of five, having two older brothers and sisters.     The American Legion Auxiliary Archie Hay Unit 24 celebrated Veterans Day again this year by surprising a lucky family with a special gift basket. This year, they had to wait just a few extra days as the first baby born since Veterans Day was in the early morning on Sunday, November 13th at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County.
