Sharon Elizabeth Dolan

Sharon Elizabeth Dolan, formerly of Green River, was born in Clinton Missouri on September 14, 1950 to James Francis and Anna Pauline Pearcy.

Sharon was a 1968 graduate of Clinton High School.

Some years later she moved to Rock Springs Wyoming where she attended Western Wyoming Community College to study geology and anthropology.

She went on several class excursions to Easter Island, Peru, Guatemala, as well as a ten day trip down the Amazon.

Sharon was very creative. She was very talented in multiple art forms including watercolor, acrylic, pastel, charcoal, oil and sculpture. She taught painting classes to several different age groups, was commissioned to do several murals for small museums and a community college. Being an accomplished artist she had works featured in libraries in Rock Springs and celebrated a retrospective exhibit of her work at The Nicolaysian Museum in Casper last year. Her most recent artwork was drawing images of the hand forming the shapes of the manual syllabary in Japanese Sign Language for inclusion in scholarly publications.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Pauline Pearcy, and a brother, Howard “Bud” Pearcy .

Sharon is survived by a sister, Susan (Jim) Sanders of Clinton Missouri , a daughter Jennifer (Kevin) Bowman of Lee’s Summit Missouri, two granddaughters Zoe and Kelsey Bowman.

There will be a private celebration of life with the family held at a later date.
