Golden Hour Senior Center January Schedule

GHSC will be celebrating the New Year with a special lunch at 11:30 a.m. Friday, January 5. The menu will include chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, biscuits, fresh fruit, and cannoli. The event will also feature music, giveaways, party favors, and a champagne toast. Call 872-3223 to RSVP.

GHSC is also starting a new activities on Wednesdays with a Show and Tell time at 11:30 a.m. This is a time to get to know the people who are at the senior center and give people a chance to share what inspires them. This is a time when people can share hobbies or crafts, bring in a family heirloom, talk about how they spend their time, tell stories or traditions, bring presents from Christmas or another holiday, or anything else. “Would you like to get up and talk on the microphone about random things? This is your time!”

Thursdays: Zumba Gold, Chair Yoga, Bingocize, Pinochle, Poker, Macrame Chair Class

Fridays: Chair Volleyball, “31,” Mah Jongg, Bridge

Lunch:

Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a salad bar served daily.

For those who are 60 and over, a $4 contribution is suggested for meals. For those under 60, a $7 contribution is suggested, which includes tax. For curbside meals, a $5 contribution is suggested for those 60 and over, and a $8 contribution for those under 60.

GHSC would like to remind everyone that curbside orders are due by 10:30 a.m. each day. To-go meals cannot be packed during the dine-in time. All home delivered meals and cancellations are due by 8:30 a.m.

Golden Hour Senior Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
