Kathleen Carter

Kathleen Carter, 59, of Mesquite, Nevada passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her father Gene Whiteley and husband Therman Carter of 23 years on December 5 after a lengthy battle with illness.

Kathleen, or, as many of us know her, Kas, was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was the second to youngest child of Ed Tingle and Beverly Whiteley.

Kas grew up and attended school in Omaha, Nebraska. After high school, she had the chance to travel and marry her first husband. The two had one daughter. The two later divorced and she moved out to Wyoming where she met the love of her life and husband, Therman Carter. The two recently moved to Mesquite, Nevada for retirement.

Kas always enjoyed gardening, traveling to Mexico and cuddling her kitties while watching football or Nascar.

A cremation is taking place and her ashes will be taken down to Cabo San Lucas. We will be planning a celebration of life at a later date.

Survivors include one daughter, Jenna Martin and husband Lance Martin; two sisters, Susan Elliot of Crisfield, Maryland and Patti Olson of Coeur d'alene, Idaho; two brothers, John Tingle of Omaha, Nebraska and Thomas Tingle of Buffalo, Wyoming; and two grandchildren, Gabriel and Rynn Martin.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Whiteley (1932 - 2021) and her father Ed Tingle (1931-2021).
