Lady Wolves keep fighting for a win

With two weeks left until the 4A Regional Volleyball Championships, which will be hosted in Green River this year, the Lady Wolves are still trying really hard to win some games and are currently ranked third in their quadrant in the 4A Southwest.

Green River hosted a match against the Mountain View Buffalos on Tuesday. During three heated sets, the Lady Wolves were unable to get ahead of the Buffalos and lost all of the sets. Green River gave up the first set 17-25, the second 18-25 and the third 23-25.

On Friday, Green River traveled to play the Riverton Wolverines. The first set was a very close match, with Green River losing by a small margin, 23-25. In the second set, Green River beat Riverton in overtime, with a final score of 30-28. Green River then struggled on the floor and lost the next two sets to Riverton, 14-25 and 19-25.

On Saturday, Green River traveled to play the Cody Fillies. Cody is currently ranked number one in the 4A Northwest. Going into the game, Green River knew it was going to be a tough match. The Lady Wolves played strong, making a lot of good defensive and offensive moves, but they fell to Cody in the first set 18-25, the second 21-25 and the third 14-25.

Green River will travel to Evanston to take on the Red Devils in a conference match at 6 p.m. today. They will also host a conference match against the Jackson Hole Broncs on Saturday at 1 p.m. Before the game they will have senior recognition night for Abigail Fuss and Jayla Braden, the only seniors on the team this year. On Tuesday, Green River will travel to play a match against the Rock Springs Tigers at 6 p.m.
