Josie Hilsendeger

Josie Hilsendeger, age 72, of Peoria, Arizona, passed away on September 10.

She was born on July 16, 1951.

Jose was an extraordinary person who loved life, and her smile would light up a room. She had a huge heart and loved everyone unconditionally. Her passing is truly a great loss for our family, and she will be dearly missed by all.

Josie is survived by her husband, Steve Hilsendeger, her daughter Annette Archuleta, and her sons Matt (Annabelle) Archuleta, Mark Archuleta, Anthony Archuleta, and Joseph Archuleta. She is also survived by her sisters and brother, Thelma Gomez, Bob (Jane) Romero, Lenora (Andy) Hinijosa, and Linda Arenvier, along with 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Mary Romero, her brother John Romero, and her grandson Matthew Archuleta III.

Josie worked for Sperry Univac, Unisys, which later changed its name several times throughout her career. She then retired from Moog after 35 years in the electronic industry.

Josie loved spending time with her husband, children, family, and friends. She enjoyed singing, dancing, camping, fishing, and going on motorcycle rides. Josie also took pleasure in attending all her grandchildren's sports games and keeping a clean house.

Services for Josie will be held at Life Church Utah on October 7 at 11 a.m., located at 3818 W 4700 S, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84129.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a charitable organization of your choice.
