Volleyball competes at Evanston Border Wars

It was another intense weekend of volleyball for the Lady Wolves as they traveled to compete in the Evanston Border Wars Tournament. With teams traveling from around Wyoming, Utah and Montana, there were back-to-back matches played throughout Friday and Saturday. The Lady Wolves' young team fought hard against the tough competition and came away with a few wins.

On Friday, Green River played Bonneville (2), Idaho, and lost both sets. Next they played Juan Diego, and the girls played tough but couldn't get ahead of the Utah team. The Lady Wolves played Syracuse and fell to the Utah team with two loses. Green River's last matches of the day were against Bonneville (1), Idaho. They lost both of the sets.

On Saturday, Green River played Soda Springs, Idaho, walking away with two wins. Their next match was against Grace, Idaho, and it was an unfortunate loss for the Lady Wolves. Green River fought their way back to win two of the three sets against Rigby, Idaho. For the last match of the day, Green River got the victory as they beat Manila, Utah.

The Lady Wolves will host their first home game today at 6 p.m. Come and support the ladies as they take on their rivals, the Rock Springs Tigers. They will also travel to Cheyenne on Friday to play against Cheyenne East.
