Green River Police Department reports for Aug. 15

At 7:09 a.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle that struck a deer. It was reported that the vehicle was traveling westbound in the westbound lane of W Teton Boulevard when a small deer darted out into the roadway and the vehicle struck the deer. The deer was injured and officers were advised to dispatch the deer. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:59 a.m., officers responded to the GRHS parking lot for a report of a vehicle collision. It was reported the vehicle backed into a pole. Officers met with the driver, gathered information, and completed an incident report.

At 12:10 p.m., Animal Control Officers responded to a report of a dog bite. Officers were contacted by Castle Rock Vet who reported that a vet tech had been bitten while attempting to restrain the dog during care. Officers met with the owner and gathered information. The dog was impounded and put on a 10-day Rabies quarantine at the animal shelter. Officers completed a report of the incident. 

At 7:47 p.m., officers responded to Rocky Mountain Car Wash at 70 Uinta Drive for a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported that one vehicle was stopped in the automatic wash lane with a second vehicle behind it. The first vehicle started to reverse and struck the front of the second vehicle. Officers issued the driver of the first vehicle, Joel Murphy, of Green River, a citation for alleged improper backing. Officers completed an incident report.

At 9:07 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver a written warning for an alleged when headlamps required violation.

At 9:31 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of N Riverbend Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged headlight violation.

At 10:09 p.m., officers responded to Driftwood Street in reference to a violation of a court order. Officers met with an individual concerned about a family member and a possible violation of a court order. Officers met with the individual, gathered information, and completed an incident report.

At 11:08 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Riverview Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning for alleged no visible registration.

At 11:15 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Astle Avenue and issued the driver a written warning for an alleged obedience to traffic-control device violation.

Aug. 16

At 1:57 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver a written warning for an alleged obedience to traffic-control device violation.

At 6:53 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E 4 S Street and issued the driver a verbal warning for alleged speeding and no registration. 

At 9:17 a.m., officers responded to a residence on Evers Street. Upon arrival, officers observed trash and debris and three vehicles in the driveway that were unregistered. Officers made contact with the owner, gathered information, issued a notice to abate, and completed an incident report.

At 9:32 a.m., officers responded to WYHY Federal Credit Union at 110 Commerce Drive for a report of a counterfeit bill. Officers met with an employee and the individual who had deposited the bill. The fake $10 bill was determined to have been passed at the Brewery Bar. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 4:04 p.m., officers responded to the area of Railroad Avenue in reference to a lost cell phone. Officers met with the individual who reported the phone missing, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 5 p.m., officers dispatched to Green River Horse Corrals at 200 East Teton Boulevard in regards to a report of a stolen license plate off a horse trailer. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:57 p.m., 8:57 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E Flaming Gorge Way and issued the driver, Nicholas E. Padilla, of Green River, a citation for alleged speed.

At 8:59 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of W Flaming Gorge Way for a tail light violation. The driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license. Officers placed Carline Michelle Allred, of Green River, under arrest and issued citations for alleged DWUS and stop and turn signals required violation. Officers transported Allred to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

Aug. 17

At 12:37 a.m., officers responded to the area of W Flaming Gorge Way for a noise complaint. Officers met with an individual who reported that a train horn has been blowing for over twenty minutes nonstop. Officers made contact with the rail yard and it was determined a horn button had gotten stuck and the horn was stuck on. The train was cleared and the horn was turned off.

At 3:06 a.m., officers responded to the area of Louisiana Way for a report of a parking problem. Officers observed an enclosed trailer in violation of the City ordinance. Officers attempted to make contact with the owner, tagged the trailer, and completed an incident report.

At 3:30 a.m., officers responded to the area of Arkansas Drive for a report of a parking problem. Officers observed a trailer in violation of the City ordinance. Officers attempted to make contact with the owner, tagged the trailer, and completed an incident report.

At 4:51 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Upland Way and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 12:54 p.m., officers observed a residence in violation of city ordinance. Officers posted a notice to abate and completed a report of the incident.

At 1:26 p.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they had found items missing in their home. Officers gathered their statement and information about the missing items. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 2:23 p.m., officers responded to a report of a dog bite. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they were bitten by a dog while working at the Animal Clinic of Green River. Officers confirmed the dog was up to date on vaccines and completed a report of the incident.

At 3:16 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual that had recreationally jumped off the bridge near the island into the river and had not been seen coming back up. Officers met with the reporting party who stated that their friend had jumped off the bridge but they had not seen them since. Officers along with fire and ambulance personnel searched the surrounding area for the missing person. The individual was later located down river safe and had no injuries. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 8:36 p.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog. Officers responded and located a barking dog out on the balcony of a residence. Officers attempted to make contact with the owner but they were not home. Officers were able to make contact with an owner who was able to have a neighbor let the dog inside. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 10:58 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism. Officers met with the reporting party who advised their vehicle had been vandalized earlier in the day. Officers observed the damage, took photographs, and collected evidence. Officers completed a report of the incident.
