Golden Hour Senior Center August Schedule

GHSC will be celebrating National Senior Citizens Day on August 21 with special Hawaiian-themed festivities. The fun will start at 11:30 a.m., with tropical drinks and a special lunch of Hawaiian chicken, coconut shrimp, corn on the cob, tropical fruit, Hawaiian rolls and coconut cream pie. At 12:30 p.m. there will be a special Hawaiian Bingo, with tropical prizes and Hawaiian music. Golden Bucks can be brought in to be redeemed for tickets. GHSC will also celebrate Spirit Week August 28 - September 1. Monday is hat day; Tuesday is beach and flip flop day; Wednesday is crazy hair day; Thursday is pajama day; and Friday is green, white, and black day, or you can wear the colors of your favorite pro team.

Thursdays: Zumba Gold, Bingocize, Pinochle, Poker, Macrame Chair Class

Fridays: Chair Volleyball, “31,” Mah Jongg, Bridge

Lunch:

Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a salad bar served daily.

For those who are 60 and over, a $4 contribution is suggested for meals. For those under 60, a $7 contribution is suggested, which includes tax. For curbside meals, a $5 contribution is suggested for those 60 and over, and a $8 contribution for those under 60.

GHSC would like to remind everyone that curbside orders are due by 10:30 a.m. each day. To-go meals cannot be packed during the dine-in time. All home delivered meals and cancellations are due by 8:30 a.m.

Golden Hour Senior Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
