Green River Police Department reports for July 11

At 1:04 a.m., officers responded to a report of domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers met with the individuals involved in an altercation. The parties were separated. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:23 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Upland Way and issued a verbal warning for alleged improper registration.

At 10:48 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Blake Street and issued the driver a verbal warning for alleged speed and expired registration.

At 7:29 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Medicine Bow Drive for a report of property damage. Officers met with an individual who reported finding damage to their vehicle after returning home from Smith’s Food & Drug located at 905 Bridger Drive. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

July 12

At 10:40 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning for alleged no visible registration.

At 11:49 a.m., officers responded to a report of individuals with active warrants. Officers met with two individuals, confirmed the warrants, and placed Seanna Kelly, of Green River, and Arthur Meastas, of Green River, under arrest per the warrants. Officers transported Kelly and Maestas to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

July 13

At 10:29 p.m., officers responded to the area of W Railroad Avenue for a disturbance. Officers met with the property owner who advised an individual had entered their yard without permission and requested the individual be issued a trespass warning. Officers met with the individual, issued the trespass warning, and completed a report of the incident.

July 14

At 12:23 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information, separated the parties, and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:36 a.m., officers responded to the GRPD lobby and collected 8.9 pounds of medications from the prescription drug drop off box. The medications were booked in for future destruction and an incident report was completed.

At 12:14 p.m., CSOs responded to 335 E 4 S Street in reference to traffic cones being placed in front of a residence. Officers contacted the property owner who reported the cones were not theirs. Officers collected the cones and completed a report of the incident.

At 6:28 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal domestic and gathered information. The parties had separated and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 8:36 p.m., officers responded to Oregon Circle for a report of a hit and run. Officers met with an individual who reported finding damage to their vehicle, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:36 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Stage Place and issued the driver written warnings for alleged no valid driver’s license and/or violation of driver’s license conditions and when headlamps are required violation.

At 11:44 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of N 5 W Street and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged failure to maintain a lane violation.

At 11:56 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Upland Way and issued the driver a verbal warning for alleged speeding.

July 15

At 10:15 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Shoshone Avenue and issued the driver, a juvenile, age 15, of Green River, a citation for alleged no valid driver’s license and/or driver’s license conditions and a written warning for stop and turn signals required.

At 1:08 p.m., officers responded to the area of the Green River Police Department parking lot at 375 W Flaming Gorge Way for a report of a suspicious individual who was blocking the roadway and removing items of clothing. Officers met with the individual, attempted to offer assistance, and requested EMS. The individual refused assistance and left the area. Officers later determined the individual had damaged a patrol vehicle that had been parked and unoccupied in the parking lot. Officers made contact with the individual at their residence and attempted to gather more information. Officers documented the incident and forwarded the case to the County Attorney for review.

At 4:44 p.m., officers responded to Crossbow Drive in reference to an individual causing a disturbance. Officers met with the individual causing the disturbance and the property owner. At the request of the property owner, a trespass warning was issued to the individual and officers completed a report of the incident.

July 16

At 3:32 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Bridger Drive and South Dakota Street on a vehicle for speeding and crossing a double yellow line. Officers met with the driver and detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage. Subsequently, officers placed the driver, Juan Carlos Barrera-Ramirez, of Green River, under arrest and issued citations for alleged DWUI of alcohol .08 or greater and improper lane usage. Officers transported Juan Carlos to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:55 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of N 4 W Street and issued the driver a verbal warning.

At 8:55 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver a written warning for an alleged stop sign violation.

At 9 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of HWY 530 and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 9:03 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of N 5 W Street and issued the driver, Matthew Jett, of Green River, a written warning for alleged failure to display valid license plate, validation sticker, or permits; and citations for failure to maintain liability coverage - 1st offense, and open alcoholic beverage by operator of vehicle - 1st offense.

At 9:23 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Hitching Post Drive and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed. 

At 9:36 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E Teton Boulevard and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 9:52 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Roosevelt Drive and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 10:47 a.m., officers responded to the Super 8 Motel located at 280 W Flaming Gorge Way in reference to a civil standby. Officers contacted the on-site manager for the Super 8 Motel who advised they had some guests they wanted to be removed from the motel and requested a trespass warning be issued. Officers met with the individuals, issued the trespass warning, and completed an incident report.

At 12:51 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no visible registration. The vehicle had a temp tag that was covered.

At 1:59 p.m., officers responded to assist Sweetwater County Deputies with interviewing an individual in reference to a physical domestic that had occurred earlier that day. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
