Green River Police Department reports for June 29

At 6:48 a.m., officers responded to the area of Cumorah Way for a report of a suspicious individual walking through the area. Upon officer arrival, the individual fled from police on foot and was eventually apprehended on Log Cabin Lane. Officers determined the individual to have an active warrant and Anthony Norton, of Green River, was placed under arrest. Officers transported Norton to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 12:57 p.m., officers responded to Schultz Street in reference to a disturbance. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute and, at the property owner’s request, issued a trespass warning for the property. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:08 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers made contact with the individuals involved in a dispute. Officers determined that one of the individuals had an active warrant. Officers confirmed the warrant and Ashley Dugan, of Green River, was placed under arrest. Officers transported Dugan to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

June 30

At 8:19 a.m., officers were dispatched to Probation and Parole at 140 Commerce Drive for an arrest and hold order. Officers met with agents and the individual, confirmed the arrest order, and placed Matthew Payne, of Green River, under arrest. Officers transported Payne to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:59 a.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious person at Expedition Island at 475 S 2nd E Street. Upon arrival, officers located an individual matching the description given and made contact. Subsequently, officers placed Kelly Lundgren, of Green River, under arrest and issued a citation for alleged public intoxication. Officers transported Lundgren to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 5:14 p.m., officers responded to a report of custody issues. Officers met with both parties, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:34 p.m., officers responded to the Hitching Post Restaurant and Bar located at 580 E Flaming Gorge Way for a report of a possibly intoxicated individual that hit a post on the front seating area of the building with their vehicle and was attempting to leave the parking area. Upon arrival, officers observed the vehicle in the parking area pulling forward and backward repeatedly. Officers pulled up toward the vehicle and the driver parked the vehicle in a parking space. Officers made contact with the driver and detected an odor of an alcoholic-based beverage. Subsequently, officers placed Austin Dimick, of Green River, under arrest and issued citations for alleged DWUI - alcohol, incapable of safely driving; and inattentive driving. Officers transported Dimick to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

July 1

At 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of an individual that was possibly struck by a vehicle. Officers were contacted by an RSPD officer who had responded to the hospital for an individual that had been struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run collision. Officers responded to the area of  E Flaming Gorge Way but were unable to find any evidence of a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident, which is still under investigation.

At 12 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals that were involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:17 p.m., officers responded to Veterans Park at 425 E Teton Boulevard for a report of a disturbance. Officers met with individuals that were involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:33 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal altercation. Officers gathered information, the parties were separated, and officers completed a report of the incident.

July 2

At 9:13 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Andrews Street for a report of a suspicious circumstance. Officers met with an individual who reported finding an Apple Air Tag in their vehicle. The Air Tag was disabled, and officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:29 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Cumorah Way for a report of an individual attempting to force entry into a residence. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the subject who was found to be intoxicated and banging on the front door. At the property owner’s request, officers issued a trespass warning for the property. Officers subsequently placed Adrian Bodney, of Green River, under arrest for alleged public intoxication, transported Bodney to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed a report of the incident.

July 3

At 12:57 a.m., officers were dispatched to Loaf N Jug at 515 E Flaming Gorge Way for a report of an individual threatening people with a knife. Upon arriving in the area behind Loaf N Jug, officers observed a subject matching the description given by dispatch in between the buildings behind the China Garden restaurant. Officers made contact with the individual and gathered information. Subsequently, officers placed Kelly Lundgren, of Green River, under arrest and issued a citation for alleged public intoxication. Officers transported Lundgren to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:52 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Wind River Drive and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 8:34 a.m., officers, while on patrol, observed a dog at large in the area of Riverview Drive. Officers notified the owner, advised of the violation, and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:56 a.m., officers responded to a request to have a subject issued a trespass warning. Officers issued the trespass warning and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:33 a.m., officers responded to a report of a missing juvenile. Officers met with an individual who reported the juvenile as missing and gathered information. The juvenile was later located and returned home. Officers completed an incident report.

At 11:25 a.m., officers responded to Fremont Therapy at 330 Upland Way for a report of a two-vehicle collision in the parking area. It was reported one vehicle began backing out of a parking space and struck the second vehicle, which was pulling into the adjacent parking space. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:35 a.m., officers responded to the parking lot south of O’Reilly Auto Parts at 80 Uinta Drive in reference to accidental damage. It was reported a vehicle was driving under a telephone line when the truck snagged the line and pulled it down. Officers gathered information, contacted the phone company, and completed a report of the incident.

At 4:32 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of South Dakota Street and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged speeding violation.

At 9:39 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Kansas Street for a report of a suspicious circumstance. Officers met with the property owner who reported that a side gate outside the residence was found to be open and part of the gate was damaged. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

July 4

At 9:41 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged speeding violation.

At 1:41 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Logan Street and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged stop sign violation.

At 2:12 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning for alleged no trailer lights.

At 2:20 p.m., officers responded to the area of W Teton Boulevard for a report of threats. Officers met with an individual who reported being threatened by another person. Officers contacted the subject, gathered information, and completed an incident report.

At 4:10 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning for alleged no brake lights.

At 4:16 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged improper turn violation.

At 4:49 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Colorado Drive and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 5:05 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Crossbow Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning for alleged speeding.

At 5:17 p.m., officers responded to the area of Crossbow Drive for a report of a disturbance. Officers met with individuals that were involved in a verbal dispute. The parties were separated and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 6:13 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual that was harassing another individual. Officers met with the individual and determined the individual had several active arrest warrants. Officers confirmed the warrants and placed Bethany Ward, of Green River, under arrest. Officers transported Ward to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:57 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Virginia Circle for a report of an individual causing a disturbance. Officers met with the property owner who advised a subject was yelling and requested them to be removed. Officers met with the subject and detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from their breath. Officers placed Nicholas Maes, of Green River, under arrest and issued a citation for alleged public intoxication. Officers transported Maes to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

July 5

At 1:08 a.m., officers responded to Loaf N Jug at 1325 Bridger Drive for a report of a suspicious phone call. Officers met with an employee who reported receiving a phone call from an individual with an accent that told her to step outside and kept calling when the individual hung up the phone. Officers checked the area, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:49 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E Flaming Gorge Way and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 9:19 a.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals that were involved in a verbal dispute and gathered information. The parties separated and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 1:30 p.m., officers responded to the GRPD for a report of theft. Officers met with an individual who reported their license plate was missing from their vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 2:50 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of S Riverbend Drive and issued a verbal warning for alleged no plates.

At 6:44 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault. Officers met with the individuals involved in a physical altercation and gathered information. EMS evaluated the individuals but no transports were made. The parties were separated and officers completed a report of the incident.

July 6

At 5:45 a.m., officers responded to the area of Uinta Drive and Riverview Drive for a report of a two-vehicle collision. Officers issued a citation to Thomas McDaniels, of Green River, for alleged inattentive driving with a crash. Report to follow.

At 11:47 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Riverview Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning.

At 3:02 p.m., officers responded to Aspen Street for a report of a disturbance. Officers met with individuals that were involved in a verbal dispute. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 3:57 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Arkansas Drive for a report of vandalism. Officers met with an individual who reported that they found damage to one of their vehicles. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. Officers met with an individual who reported they had lent their car to an individual that did not follow the terms of the agreement and were then involved in a dispute. Through the course of the investigation, it was determined the vehicle was not stolen; however, the subject had violated a protection order. Officers attempted to locate the subject and completed a report of the incident.

July 7

At 7:16 a.m., officers responded to a residence on Jensen Street for a report of possible fraud. Officers met with an individual who reported fraudulent charges on their credit card. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:34 a.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals that were involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 4:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of harassment. Officers met with an individual who reported being harassed by another individual. Officers made contact with the individual, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:09 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of W Railroad Avenue and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged tail light violation.

At 10:18 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Upland Way and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged tail light violation.

At 10:18 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver, a juvenile, age 17, of Green River, a citation for alleged no valid driver’s license and/or violation of driver’s license conditions.

At 10:38 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver a written warning for an alleged obedience to traffic-control device violation.

At 10:54 p.m., officers responded to the area of S Carolina Drive for a report of a missing person. Officers met with a staff member who reported a client as missing. Officers gathered information and later located the individual. The individual was transported back and officers completed a report of the incident.

July 8

At 1:07 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged headlight violation.

At 1:45 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E Teton Boulevard and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 10:12 p.m., officers responded to a report of harassment. Officers met with individuals involved in a dispute, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:59 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E Flaming Gorge Way on a vehicle for speeding and a lane use violation. Officers met with the driver and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. After a DWUI investigation was conducted, officers placed Bodie Capozza, of Rock Springs, under arrest. Officers issued Capozza citations for alleged DWUI alcohol incapable of safely driving, speed, and failure to maintain liability insurance. Officers transported Capozza to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

July 9

At 7:13 p.m., officers responded to Loaf N Jug at 515 E Flaming Gorge Way in reference to a report of theft. It was reported a subject took items from the store and left. Officers gathered information and attempted to locate the subject. On July 10 officers made contact with the subject; issued a citation to Jeremy Reolle, of Rock Springs, for alleged shoplifting; and, at the request of the store manager, issued a trespass warning for the property.

July 10

At 9:20 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Uinta Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged tail light violation.

At 9:24 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Uinta Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning for alleged no visible registration.

At 9:26 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Logan Street on a vehicle for no visible registration and ascertained the driver’s license was suspended. Officers placed Tony Barnson, of Green River, under arrest and issued citations for alleged no valid certificate of title, certificate of registration/license plates or temporary permits and driving while license canceled, suspended, or revoked. Officers transported Barnson to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.
