Green River Police Department reports for June 13

At 8:51 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Hitching Post Drive and Shoshone Avenue and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged registration violation.

At 8:52 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued the driver written warnings for alleged speeding and taillights/license plate light required violation.

At 11:31 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Hitching Post Drive and Shoshone Avenue and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged tail light violation.

At 11:51 a.m., officers responded to the area of Pennsylvania Boulevard and Rhode Island Place for a report of a juvenile riding a dirtbike on the street. Officers made contact with the driver and issued a verbal warning.

At 12:46 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued a verbal warning for an alleged stop sign violation.

At 1:50 p.m., officers responded to the cemetery for a report of property damage. Officers observed a bench that appeared to have been struck by a vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 3 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in an altercation and subsequently placed Anthony Greene, of Green River, under arrest for alleged domestic battery. Officers transported Greene to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 3:03 p.m., officers responded to a report of found property. Officers met with an individual who reported an abandoned bicycle in the alleyway behind 24 E Flaming Gorge Way. Officers collected the black and pink Schwinn bicycle for safekeeping and completed a report of the incident.

At 6:06 p.m., officers responded to an agency assist with EMS. The individual was transported and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 10:44 p.m., officers responded to Smiths at 905 Bridger Drive for a report of a larceny. Officers met with staff who reported that an individual took items without paying for them. Officers gathered information and responded to the suspected individual’s residence, but no contact could be made. Officers completed a report of the incident, which is still under investigation.

June 14

At 8:53 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E 2nd Street and issued a verbal warning for an alleged brake light violation.

At 10:28 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E Flaming Gorge Way and issued a verbal warning for an alleged tail light violation.

At 2:20 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Wind River Drive for a nuisance complaint. Officers met with an individual who reported a nuisance smell. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 5:55 p.m., officers responded to Keith Street for a report of a nuisance trailer. Officers observed a motorhome that was in violation, contacted the owner, issued a notice to abate, and completed an incident report.

At 10:34 p.m., officers responded to the area of E Teton Boulevard for a report of a suspicious individual. Officers met with individuals that were involved in a dispute, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:09 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Adams Street for a report of loud music causing a disturbance. Officers made contact at the residence, issued a verbal warning, and completed a report of the incident.

June 15

At 5:08 p.m., officers responded to the Embassy Tavern at 77 E Railroad Avenue for a report of a subject removal request. Officers met with the subject who had already left the bar, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

June 16

At 2:38 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Log Cabin Lane for a report of vandalism. Officers met with an individual who reported their vehicle had been egged. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:48 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Log Cabin Lane for a report of theft. Officers met with an individual who reported their vehicle registration stickers had been taken off of their vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 4:01 p.m., officers while on patrol observed an individual known to officers to have an outstanding warrant. Officers made contact with the individual; confirmed the warrant; placed Matthew Mazurkiewicz, of Green River, under arrest; and transported Mazurkiewicz to the Sweetwater County Detention Center.

At 6:06 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of W Teton Boulevard and issued the driver a written warning for alleged stop and turn signals violation.

At 8:49 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of W Teton Boulevard and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged stop lamp violation and expired registration.

At 9:03 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Commerce Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning for alleged improper registration.

June 17

At 9:57 a.m., officers responded to the area of W 3 N Street for a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported one vehicle reversed across the parking lot in an easterly direction and backed into a second vehicle, which was parked in a parking spot facing southeast.

At 12:36 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Astle Avenue and issued a verbal warning for a registration violation.

At 4:20 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E Teton Boulevard and issued the driver, Devon Canfield, of Green River, citations for alleged expired temporary license permit/improper registration and compulsory auto insurance, and a written warning for speed.

At 5:43 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver a written warning for alleged speed.

At 10:37 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Uinta Drive and issued the driver a verbal warning for an alleged tail light violation.

June 18

At 2:22 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Upland Way and issued the driver a written warning for an alleged brake lights violation.

At 11:55 a.m., officers responded to a report of theft. Officers met with an individual who reported that cash was missing from a purse and a wallet after a gathering in their residence. Officers met with several individuals, gathered information, and completed an incident report.

At 5:39 p.m., officers responded to a report of theft. Officers met with an individual who reported that cash was missing from a dresser after a gathering in their residence. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

At 6:17 p.m., officers responded to a report of a deer being shot at with a BB gun. Officers met with the reporting party and the suspect, gathered information, advised Game and Fish, and completed an incident report.

At 9:45 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of E Flaming Gorge Way and issued a juvenile, age 16, of Green River, a citation for alleged speed.

At 9:53 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Shoshone Avenue and issued the driver a warning for an alleged headlight violation.

At 10:14 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Monroe Avenue and issued a written warning for alleged speed.
