Archibald receives All-Conference and All-State honors

Green River's shooting guard Theron Archibald is a junior this year, and stands six feet three inches tall.

A shooting guard needs to be good at dribbling fast, passing and shooting lots of jump shots, as well as taking shots with a quick release directly after receiving a pass without dribbling. The shooting guard needs to be able to sink open shots consistently and be able to take them when the game is on the line.

Archibald was a key player for the Green River Wolves this year, averaging over 15 points per game. He made 92 points this season and 15 three-point shots.

Archibald is planning on returning next year as a senior and he said basketball is definitely his favorite sport. While he hasn't decided what college he would like to go play at, college basketball is the direction he wants to go.

Archibald was awarded first team All-Conference for the 4A West Region and also received All-State Honors for the second team.

"I was pleased," said Archibald. "I've worked really hard when it comes to basketball so I feel proud and honored of the accomplishment."
