Green River Police Department reports for Nov. 4

At 12:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of an agency assist with EMS on Locust Street. Officers met with an individual who requested to be transported. The individual was transported to the hospital and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 1:02 p.m., officers responded to a report of a trespass complaint on East Railroad Avenue. Union Pacific advised a had located a transient inside of a locomotive, and wanted them removed. Officers removed the individual from inside the engine compartment of a locomotive, escorted them off railroad property, issued a trespass warning, and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:46 p.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog complaint on West Teton Boulevard. Officers attempted to make contact at the residence, but were able to make contact by phone. Officers advised of the complaint, gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

Nov. 5

At 2:07 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an outstanding warrant. Officers met with the individual, confirmed the warrant, and placed Tosha Sandoval, of Green River, under arrest per the active warrant. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 3:09 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an outstanding warrant. Officers met with the individual, confirmed the warrant, and placed Matthew Mazurkiewicz, of Green River, under arrest per the active warrant. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 10:16 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in an altercation. Officers gathered information and subsequently placed Joe Chacon, of Green River, under arrest for alleged domestic battery. Officers transported Chacon to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 11:33 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute. The parties separated and officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

Nov. 6

At 12:23 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an outstanding warrant. Officers met with the individual, confirmed the warrant, and placed Chelsea Fuller, of Green River, under arrest per the active warrant. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 1:36 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an outstanding warrant. Officers met with the individual, confirmed the warrant, and placed Eloy Fierro, of Green River, under arrest per the active warrant. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

Nov. 7

At 2:41 p.m., officers responded to a report of a student in possession of a vaping device at Green River High School. Officers met with administration and the student, gathered information, notified a parent/guardian, and subsequently issued the juvenile, age 17, a citation for alleged possession/uses of tobacco by a minor. Officers confiscated the vaping device and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:31 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance/animal problem on Kansas Street. Officers met with an individual who reported issues with cats and their neighbor. Officers contacted the neighbor, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:08 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Bridger Drive and issued the driver, a juvenile, age 16, of Green River a citation for alleged no valid driver’s license and/or violation of driver’s license conditions.

Nov. 8

At 9 p.m., officers responded to a report of a runaway. Officers met with an individual who reported a juvenile missing. Officers attempted to locate the juvenile, and were notified later the juvenile had been located. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. Nov. 9

At 10:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision. It was reported the vehicle was traveling southbound on Uinta Drive approaching the right-hand curve at the intersection with East Flaming Gorge Way. As the vehicle was navigating the curve, the vehicle slid off the right side of the roadway and struck the curb. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 1:05 p.m., officers responded to a vape detection alarm within the school at Green River High School. Officers met with administration, the individual and a parent/guardian, and gathered information. Subsequently officers issued the juvenile, age 15, of Green River, a citation for alleged use or possession of a tobacco product by a minor and completed a report of the incident. 

At 1:23 p.m., officers responded to a report of students in possession of tobacco vaping devices at Green River High School. Officers met with administration, the individuals and a parent/guardian, and gathered information. Subsequently officers issued the juveniles, ages 15,16 and 17, of Green River, a citation for alleged use or possession of a tobacco product by a minor and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:23 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Monroe Avenue. It was reported one vehicle was backing out of a parking space and struck a second vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied, across the roadway. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:47 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported one vehicle was traveling northbound and a second vehicle was pulling out of an entrance onto Bridger Drive traveling west bound. The first vehicle stopped at the intersection with West Teton Boulevard and proceeded through the intersection as the second vehicle was entering the intersection. The first vehicle struck the front driver’s side of the second vehicle. Officers gathered information, issued the driver, Tonya Graham, of Green River, a citation for alleged inattentive driving with crash, and completed a report of the incident.

Nov. 10

At 10:58 a.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious individual in the women’s restroom at the Green River Recreation Center. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 5:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a violation of a court order on Wilderness Trail. Officers met with an individual who reported being contacted by an individual with an active no contact order. Officers made contact with the individual, gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

Nov. 11

At 7:29 a.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported one vehicle was traveling eastbound on Riverview Drive, approaching the intersection with Uinta Drive, when the driver attempted the turn, but turned too soon and struck a traffic sign. The driver then tried to reverse into a parking lot nearby and struck a second vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied. Officers met with the driver, gathered information and issued the driver, a juvenile, age 17, of Green River, a citation for alleged inattentive driving with a crash.

Nov. 12

At 3:10 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at Bramwell Street and Jensen Street and issued the driver, Mary Atwood, of Green River, a citation for alleged no valid driver’s license, and/or violation of driver’s license conditions.

At 6:17 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance on N Center Street. Officers met with an individual who reported that another individual showed up at their residence and began yelling and kicking the door. Officers met with the individual, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:24 p.m., officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers met with the individuals, who had already separated, that were involved in an altercation, gathered information, and completed a report. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

Nov. 13

At 12:03 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats/harassment. Officers met with an individual who reported their Snapchat account had been hacked and the person who hacked the account was threatening blackmail and requesting money to release the account. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 1:35 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at Monroe Avenue and Adams Street and issued the driver Ivan Escalente, of Green River, citations for alleged failure to provide liability insurance and driving while suspended. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 5:26 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual causing a disturbance on Colorado Drive. Officers met with a caretaker and the individual, who had broken multiple windows. EMS was called and the individual was transported. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.
