Green River Police Department reports for Oct. 1

At 6:48 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance between neighbors. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute. Officers issued Matthew Tebedo, of Green River, citations for alleged disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct, then issued trespass warnings to both individuals and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 8:08 p.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run collision. It was reported one vehicle was traveling east on River View Drive when a second vehicle, which was conducting a left-hand turn in the intersection with Cedar Street, struck the rear passenger side of the first vehicle, then left the area. Officers gathered information, located the second vehicle, and met with the driver. Officers issued the driver Rebekah Myers, of Green River, citations for alleged leaving the scene of an accident and failure to provide proof of liability insurance. Officers then completed a report of the incident.

At 8:48 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Bridger Drive. On arrival officers contacted several individuals who were causing a disturbance outside the apartments. Several individuals were warned for disturbing the peace, but one individual continued to cause a disturbance. Officers placed Jasmine Jones, of Hudson, Wyoming, under arrest for alleged disturbing the peace and Jones was found to have an active warrant out of Rock Springs. Officers transported Jones to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident. 

At 10:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a juvenile runaway that had been reported to the Rock Springs Police Department. Officers located the juvenile, contacted RSPD, transported the juvenile to Rock Springs, and completed a report of the incident.  The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

Oct. 2

At 1:35 a.m., officers responded to a report of a juvenile runaway. Officers were later notified the juvenile had returned home. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 12:55 p.m., officers responded to a report of a subject shooting an airsoft gun from a vehicle at people at the Loaf ‘N Jug on Bridger Drive. Officers located a vehicle matching the description and met with the driver. Officers gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:16 p.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog complaint on Monroe Avenue. Officers located the dog and made contact at the residence. Officers met with an individual, advised of the complaint, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident, which was forwarded to Animal Control.

At 7:24 p.m., officers responded to a report of harassment and stalking. While on scene officers ascertained an individual had an active warrant out of Rock Springs, and placed Patrick Richardson, of Green River, under arrest. Officers transported Richardson to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

Oct. 3

At 9:02 a.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported one vehicle turned onto Cedar Street from Riverview Drive and was traveling north on Cedar Street, when the front of the vehicle collided head on with a second vehicle, which was completing a right-hand turn from Elm Street to Cedar Street. EMS was called and transports were made. Both vehicles were towed. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:52 p.m., officers responded to a report of a juvenile runaway. Officers made contact with several juveniles, and while speaking with them found that they were in possession of suspected marijuana. Officers issued citations for alleged possession of a controlled substance to three juveniles. Officers gathered information, turned the juveniles over to a parent or guardian, and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 11:14 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with an individual who reported an altercation with another individual, who had previously left. Officers gathered information, attempted to locate the other individual, and completed a report of the incident.

Oct. 4

At 2:38 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism at Scotts Bottom Road. Officers met with an individual who reported that someone was placing sticks and rocks on the mountain bike trail. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 4:31 p.m., officers responded to a report of a juvenile asking people for a ride at Expedition Island. Upon arrival, officers ascertained the juvenile was a runaway with an active warrant. Officers were able to take the juvenile into custody without incident and transported the juvenile to the Sweetwater County Juvenile Detention Center.

Oct. 5

At 8:05 a.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with individuals involved in a verbal dispute. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 9:16 a.m., officers received a nuisance complaint for excessive weeds exceeding twelve inches in length in the front yard of a residence on West Flaming Gorge Way. Officers observed the property in violation of City ordinance and contacted the owner. Officers advised of the complaint, issued a verbal notice to abate, and completed a report of the incident. 

At 12:42 p.m., officers received a nuisance complaint for excessive weeds exceeding twelve inches in length in the front yard of a residence on East Flaming Gorge Way. Officers observed the property in violation of City ordinance and contacted the owner. Officers advised of the complaint and issued a verbal notice to abate. Officers did a follow up showing the nuisance has been abated, and completed a report of the incident.

At 12:44 p.m., officers observed a property in violation of City ordinance with weeds exceeding twelve inches in length in the front yard of a residence on East Flaming Gorge Way. Officers contacted the owner, advised of the complaint, and issued a verbal notice to abate. Officers did a follow up showing the nuisance has been abated, and completed a report of the incident.

At 1:06 p.m., officers responded to a report of a fraud on West Teton Boulevard. Officers met with an individual who reported he received a text from who they thought was a known individual asking them to purchase gift cards and send the pictures back to them. Monetary losses were reported. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. 

At 2:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism on Schultz Street. Officers met with an individual who reported they have had multiple LED solar lights in their yard knocked over several times during the summer. Officers met with the suspected individuals, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.
