Rosemary Callas

Rosemary Callas, 84, passed away on September 22, 2022 in Phoenix, Arizona. Mrs. Callas was a life-long resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming.

She was born October 18, 1937 in Rock Springs, Wyoming; the daughter of John Corona and Colomba Yadavito Corona.

Mrs. Callas attended schools in Rock Springs and she was a 1955 graduate of Rock Springs High School.

She married Jimmy Callas on May 4, 1957 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He preceded her in death November 18, 2011.

Mrs. Callas was the Owner/Broker of Callas Reality for twenty years until her retirement in 2000. She previously worked for Faler Agency from 1962-1980 She began her employment with Dickson Agency in 1955. Upon her retirement from Callas Realty she worked part time for Owlfie's Flowers.

She was a faithful member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Community.

Mrs. Callas loved spending time with her family and friends. She was civic minded, served on various boards and committees, was an active member of the community and the Catholic Church. She had a talent for decorating and design and enjoyed cooking, baking, planting flowers and entertaining.

Survivors include her four daughters, Tammy Vavra of Mesa, Arizona; Diana Hoffman of Gilbert, Arizona; Tonette West and husband Ken of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Jamie Krmpotich and husband Phillip of Casper, Wyoming, one sister, Antonia Paravicini of Bondurant, Wyoming; six grandchildren, Spencer West; Bonnie Shields; Annie Bundy; Desirae Williams; Mitchell Krmpotich; Emily Krmpotich; eight great-grandchildren, Caden Bundy; Brycen Bundy; Dawson Bundy; Kadyn Shields; Bradyn Shields; James Williams; August Williams; Kateri Krmpotich; brothers and sisters-in-law; several cousins; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Colomba Corona; husband Jimmy Callas; brother Tony Corona.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 633 Bridger Avenue, Rock Springs, Wyoming. A Vigil Service with Rosary will be conducted at 5:00 P.M. Monday, October 10, 2022 at the Church. Graveside Services and Interment will be in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.
