Marion "Midge" (Hodges) Cox

Marion "Midge" (Hodges) Cox, 81, of Gillette, Wyoming, passed away on 04 September 2022, at the University of Utah Hospital with family by her side. She was born to parents James William and Izora "Butch" Hodges, on 28 July 1941 in Fairbury, Nebraska. Her family relocated to Green River in the 1940's.

She attended schools in Green River, Wyoming and graduated from Green River High School in 1958,

She was retired and enjoyed spending her time between her main home with her son Erin, in Gillette, Wyoming and her daughter Nicole's home in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Marion's favorite things to do included visiting with her family, watching football, cooking and baking with her daughter. She was a strong, loving and independent woman, who passed these traits on to her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents James W. and Izora "Butch" Hodges, brothers Eldon "LD" Hodges, Mark Hodges, and Dick Hodges, her sister Helen (Hodges, Brown) Schenamen, Nephews Joel Hodges, LD Hodges and Keith Hodges and Grandson B. David Calvert.

Marion is survived by brother Gary and wife Betty Hodges, sister-in-law Ann Dale Hodges all of Green River, Wyoming, son Erin and wife Teresa and daughter-in-law Michelle Tune all of Gillette, Wyoming, daughter Nicole and husband David Calvert of Rock Springs, Wyoming, son Ty and wife Sara Horton of Ogden, Utah and many nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Marion was the backbone and the heart of her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Fly high Mom, and watch over us all, until we see you again, we love you.

At her wishes, there will be no services, there will be a memorial luncheon held for her on October 2nd 2022 at 1:00 pm, at the Eagles in Green River.
