Green River Police Department reports for May 23

At 9 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Hitching Post Drive and issued the driver, Lacy Miller Rudolph, 40, of Green River, a citation for alleged stop sign violation.

At 9:44 p.m., officers responded to a report of barking dogs on Hackberry Street. Upon arrival officers heard the dogs barking and attempted to make contact with an owner. Officers were able to contact an owner who responded to the house and brought the dogs in the house with no further issues. Officers completed a report of the incident.

May 24

At 1:49 a.m., officers observed two juveniles in violation of curfew. Officers met with both juveniles and issued both, 17, of Green River, citations for curfew violations. Officers released the juveniles to their parents and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 9:29 a.m., officers responded to a report of larceny at Delaware Place. Officers met with the reporting party who advised that someone who previously lived with them had filled out a change of address form and was now receiving all their mail and would not return it. Officers gathered the information and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:54 a.m., officers while on patrol observed a vehicle being driven on Adams Street by an individual with a suspended driver’s license. Officers made contact with the individual who had parked and exited the vehicle. The individual stated he was not the one driving the vehicle. The individual later admitted he had lied and he was the person driving the vehicle. Officers issued the individual, Kerry Rivera, 51, of Green River, citations for alleged driving while license canceled, suspended, or revoked - 2nd+ offense and interference with a peace officer. Officers placed Rivera under arrest and transported him to the Sweetwater County Detention Center without incident. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 8:01 p.m., officers responded to a report of found drug paraphernalia. Officers collected the items and booked them in for destruction. Officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 10:12 p.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing on wilderness trail. Officers obtained information from the reporting party and met with the suspect. Officers advised both parties and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:53 p.m., officers responded to a report of larceny at Maverick. The reporting party advised they were missing a bag from their motorcycle. Officers met with the reporting party and gathered information on the missing items. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the bag. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 11:48 p.m., officers responded to a report of barking dogs on Clark Street. Upon arrival officers could hear the dog barking and were able to locate an owner. The owner stated they would bring the dogs in for the remainder of the night to prevent any further issues. Officers completed a report of the incident.

May 25

At 12:18 a.m., officers responded to a report of a dog at large on East Teton Boulevard. Officers located the dog and were able to get it back to its owner. The owner was warned for dog at large and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 9:08 p.m., officers responded to West Teton Boulevard in reference to a trespassing call. Officers met with the reporting party who wished to have an individual trespassed from their residence. Officers spoke to the individual and issued the trespass. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 10:26 p.m., officers responded to Evans Street in reference to a noise complaint. Officers spoke with all parties involved and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:25 p.m., officers responded to Arctic Circle for a report of a hit and run. Officers completed a crash report of the incident.

May 26

At 11:28 a.m., officers responded to Stratton Myers Park in reference to a one vehicle crash. Officers made contact with the reporting person who told them that they drove their vehicle into a ravine causing damage. Officers completed a crash report of the incident.

At 3:46 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Green River Police Department for a report of a stolen bicycle that occurred on Indian Hills Drive. Officers spoke with the reporting party and the owner of the bicycle, who stated the bike was last seen unsecured in the front yard of a friend’s house three days ago. Officers completed a report of the incident.

May 27

At 4:15 a.m., officers responded to Windriver Drive for a report of an unknown person trying to break into an apartment. Upon arrival, officers observed the front screen door to the residence was open and was blowing open and closed in the wind. The reporting party reported hearing loud banging noises coming from outside the residence. Officers searched the front and back of the residence and were unable to locate anyone in the area. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 11:56 a.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle that backed into a fence on Uinta Drive. Officers met with the driver and issued a citation for alleged improper backing to Shannon Nettik, of Green River. Report to follow.

At 2:04 p.m., officers responded to a report of a one vehicle roll over at North 1st East Street and Cemetery Road. Officers observed the vehicle to be laying on its passenger side and the sole occupant was extracted from the vehicle by removing the windshield. The individual was found to be intoxicated. EMS responded and the individual was transported and later placed under arrest for alleged DWUI of alcohol .08 or greater and open container. Officers transported Richard Meeks, of Green River, to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

May 28

At 7:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of an unattended death. Officers assisted EMS and the Coroner. No suspicious circumstances are suspected. Offices completed a report of the incident. The case is still under investigation. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 7:58 a.m., officers responded to a report of a citizen assist on West 5th North Street. Officers met with individuals, conducted a civil standby, and issued a trespass warning at the property owner’s request. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 8:05 a.m., officers responded to a report of fraud on East Flaming Gorge Way. Officers met with an individual who reported a fraudulent financial account had been opened up in their name but they were able to close the account. No monetary losses were reported and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 7:16 p.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious male in the area of Alabama Drive. Officers canvassed the area and did not locate the individual. Officers completed a report of the incident.

May 29

At 1:49 p.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle collision on Bridger Drive and East Teton Boulevard. It was reported one vehicle was parked on the shoulder on Bridger Drive. A second vehicle later parked behind the first vehicle. The owner of the first vehicle later began to reverse the vehicle and collided with the front bumper of the second vehicle. Officers met with both owners and completed a report of the incident.

May 30

At 10:02 a.m., officers responded to a report of a citizen assist on West Teton Boulevard. Officers met with individuals over civil matters and welfare concerns. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 12:35 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at North 3rd West Street and West Flaming Gorge Way. It was reported one vehicle was pulled over and stopped in front of a second vehicle on the shoulder of North 3rd West Street. As the driver of the first vehicle backed up, the rear bumper of the first vehicle struck the front bumper of the second vehicle. Officers met with the driver of the first vehicle, Gene Pierce, of Green River, and issued citations for alleged failure to maintain liability coverage and limitations on backing- safely. Officers completed a report of the incident. 

At 1:19 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at Upland Way and Commerce Drive and issued the driver Trevor Duvall, of Green River, citations for alleged expired temporary license/permit/improper registration and seat belt required violation.

At 1:43 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on East 4th South Street and issued the driver Bradyn Boutin, of Green River, a citation for alleged failure to provide proof of liability insurance.

May 31

At 5:50 a.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Uinta Drive and East 2nd South Street. It was reported one vehicle was traveling east on East 2nd Sout Street and stopped at the intersection waiting to turn left onto the overpass. Another vehilce was traveling southwest on Uinta Drive approaching the intersection. The first vehicle pulled out into the intersection initiating a left-hand turn when the second vehicle struck the driver’s side of the first vehicle. EMS responded but no transports were made. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 2:13 p.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny on Oklahoma Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported items that were missing. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism on Cumorah Way. Officers met with an individual who reported that eggs had been thrown at their vehicle. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:03 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at Jefferson Street and Schultz Street and issued the driver, Jeanette Franks, of Green River, a citation for alleged DWUS- driving on a suspended driver’s license.

June 1

At 3:22 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at Smiths. It was reported a vehicle was stopped at the pharmacy drive up window when another vehicle pulled in behind the vehicle and stopped. Moments later the second vehicle struck the rear of the first vehicle, then went over a curb and struck the side of the building. Officers gathered information, issued the driver, Jacqueline Newey, of Green River, a citation for alleged inattentive driving, and completed a report of the incident.

At 6:28 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with individuals involved in an altercation. Officers gathered information, conducted a civil standby, and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 9:36 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on West Flaming Gorge Way and North 7th West Street and issued the driver, Sydney Ferrer, of Green River, a citation for alleged failure to provide proof of liability insurance.

At 11:49 p.m., officers responded to a report of a REDDI (Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately) at Uinta Drive and East 4th South Street. Officers observed a vehicle matching the description and began to follow the vehicle. The vehicle was traveling at a low rate of speed and failed to maintain the lane of travel. As officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle continued to drive until the driver attempted to park in a driveway then struck a parked vehicle. Officers met with the driver and detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the driver’s breath. Officers gathered information and subsequently placed the driver, Jerry Medina, of Green River, under arrest and issued citations for alleged DWUI - .08 or greater, eluding a police officer, and failure to provide proof of liability insurance. Officers transported Medina to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident. 

June 2

At 10:36 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Uinta Drive and Powell Street for the registration being obscured. The driver was found to have a suspended license. Officers issued the driver, a juvenile, 17, of Green River, citations for alleged compulsory auto insurance and driving while license suspended. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 11:21 p.m., officers responded to a report of suspicious circumstances at Grant Circle. The reporting party advised there was a suspicious individual who looked like they were attempting to get into vehicles. Officers spoke with the owners of the vehicles and determined that no items were damaged or missing. Officers then made contact with the suspicious individual who stated they were walking to a friend’s house and had not attempted to get into any vehicles. Officers completed a report of the incident.

June 3

At 12:11 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Monroe Avenue and East Teton Boulevard and issued the driver, Shayne Macdonald, 54, of Evanston, a citation for left turn at intersections violation.

At 8:12 a.m., officers responded to a report of a student in possession of a tobacco product at Green River High School. Officers met with school administration and the student. Officers gathered information, made contact with a parent or guardian, and issued a citation for alleged use or possession of a tobacco product by a minor. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 1:35 p.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary on Cumorah Way. Officers met with an individual who reported finding their belongings on the front porch of the property and they were unable to enter the property to retrieve the rest of their property.  Officers gathered information and determined the incident to be a civil matter, offered assistance, then completed a report of the incident.

At 2:34 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued the driver, a juvenile, 16, of Green River, a citation for alleged improper lane usage.

At 2:51 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Roosevelt Drive and Uinta Drive with a windshield obstruction and issued the driver Kevin Gelinas, of Green River, a citation for alleged seat belt: driver violation.

At 4:36 p.m., officers responded to a report of an animal bite on Crossbow Drive. Officers met with the victim who reported they had been outside playing with some dogs and as they picked up a ball to throw it a dog bit them on the leg. Officers met with the owner of the dog and determined the dog was not current on its Rabies vaccination. Officers impounded the dog for a 10-day Rabies quarantine and completed a report of the incident.

At 8:58 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault. Officers met with an individual who reported an altercation that occurred with another individual that had been throwing boxes into a dumpster illegally. Officers met with the other individual, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

June 4

At 12:14 a.m., officers responded to a report of disturbance on East Flaming Gorge Way. Officers met with individuals regarding a noise complaint, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 12:48 a.m., officers responded to a report of a noise complaint on Indian Hills Drive. Officers met with individuals, gathered information, issued a verbal warning, and completed a report of the incident.

At 4:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious individual on North 3rd East Street. Officers met with an individual who reported that an individual was outside their window. Officers met with the individual, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 8:57 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault. Officers met with an individual who reported that they had been assaulted by an individual during an argument. Officers gathered information, attempted to identify and locate the individual, and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

June 5

At 12:04 p.m., officers responded to a report of civil issues on Shoshone Avenue. Officers met with individuals involved in a dispute. Officers gathered information, offered assistance, and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:01 p.m., officers responded to a report of civil issues at Virginia Circle. Officers met with an individual over concerns regarding an ex and completed a report of the incident.

At 6:31 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with individuals who were involved in a verbal dispute and gathered information. The parties agreed to stay separated and officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 10:44 p.m., officers responded to a report of a noise complaint on Clark Street. Officers made contact at the residence and advised of the complaint, gathered information, issued a verbal warning, and completed a report of the incident.

June 6

At 4:48 a.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with an individual who reported an altercation with an ex. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 10:23 a.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary on Jensen Street. Officers met with an individual who reported an item missing. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 1:47 p.m., officers responded to a report of a collision at the Star Twin Theater. Officers met with an individual who reported a collision that happened the previous evening. It was reported that one vehicle was parked facing east against the building and a second vehicle was parked facing east in a parking spot behind and kiddy corner to the first vehicle. As the first vehicle was backing out of their parking spot the rear bumper made contact with the front driver’s side of the second vehicle. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Hitching Post Drive. Officers met with individuals involved in a dispute. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with an individual who reported a verbal dispute. Officers were unable to make contact with the other involved party, since they had left prior to officer arrival. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
