Working from a group of eight applicants, the Sweetwater County School District No. 2 Board of Trustees selected three to interview during a special meeting scheduled for Monday.
The special meeting takes places at the district’s central administration building on Monroe Avenue, beginning at 6 p.m. Residents will not be able to make comments at the meeting or ask applicants questions, though questions submitted to the board will be considered.
The applicants were selected during a closed executive session that also involved a student disciplinary matter. The board opted not to identify their selections in order to contact them first, but have since revealed Tom Wilson, Darren Casey and Brandon Mandros were selected for the interview.
The vacant position was held by Robin Steiss, who resigned from her board member position last month after serving seven years with the board. The term will expire in November.
