JoAnn Lee Welch

JoAnn Lee Welch, 62, passed away Monday, May 17, 2021 at her home in Green River, Wyoming. She was a Green River Native.

JoAnn was born June 17, 1958 in Evanston, Wyoming; the daughter of June Lee.

JoAnn attended schools in Green River and was a 1976 graduate of Green River High School.

After high school JoAnn married the love of her life David Welch on November 26, 1976 in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

JoAnn made everyone that she came in contact with a friend. She made sure they always knew that she was always there for them. She was a mother to all her sons' friends. JoAnn lived her life creatively; expressing who she was through her nails and tattoos. Each tattoo she had always, had meaning. She had butterflies on her arm to represent each of her grandchildren. Live, Laugh, Love was tattooed on her because that is how she chose to live her life. She had many angel tattoos on her to symbolize the love she had for her mystical side. She was fascinated with Sci Fi investigations, and enjoyed watching murder mysteries and learning of mythical creatures. JoAnn was an avid collector of antiques, pens and numerous knickknacks and of course all of her jewelry. Joann enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her family whether it be camping, road trips or hanging out watching tv. Joann adored each of her grandkids and loved spoiling them. She also had a special place for all of her animals. Joann has left an imprint on each of our lives and will forever be missed by those that knew her.
