Wolves prepare for winter action

The Green River High School winter sports teams are gearing up for their seasons. Practices have already been underway at the high school.

While the high school athletes continue to sharpen their skills in preparation for their first competitions, they're doing so under several new rules designed to limit the potential spread of COVID-19 and make contact tracing easier to accomplish.

"We have protocols in place to reduce the risk of transmission, Josh Wisniewski, head wrestling coach said. "It's a little more challenging as far as preparation. But it's worth it to get these kids on the mat."

He said the wrestlers have responded well to the new guidelines, with the wrestlers working hard during their practices.

"The number one goal is safety," he said. "We are all putting in more time to help keep our wrestlers and coaches safe."
