City continues receiving insurance estimates

The city is still working to receive damage estimates from the Labor Day storm that uprooted trees and damaged roofs throughout Green River.

According to Steve Core, communications administrator for the city, said it has only received two estimates from the six damage claims the city reported to its insurance carrier. He said the total costs for damage to city property is still unknown, saying internal estimates vary between at least $50,000 to several hundred thousands of dollars.
