GR police respond to vehicle crash at school

A three-vehicle crash occurred at Truman Elementary School on Shoshone Avenue last Thursday. Green River police report the female driver, driving a pickup pulling a small trailer, suffered a seizure at the wheel. This seizure caused her to loose control of the vehicle. No serious injuries were sustained by any parties involved.

The driver was traveling East bound on Shoshone towards Truman school. The truck then hit a parked car, which then was pushed into another vehicle. The truck continued east then proceeded to jump the curb, sending the vehicle into the chainlink fence, then hitting a light pole, then through a second fence before being put to a stop by the north west corner of the school.

The Green River Fire Department and EMS responded to the accident. No transports were made, but two people were treated on scene. The Rocky Mountain Power crew was able to stabilize the power line so that no damage was done.

Minor damage was done to the wall of the building however, the chain link fence will have to be repaired or replaced. Police said the case is still under investigation and no names were released.
