Two die in rollover

A fatal crash occurred Sunday south of Rock Springs, killing two men.

At 4:06 p.m., Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers were notified of a one vehicle rollover.

A 2002 GMC Envoy was heading north on US 191 when the vehicle exited the right side of the roadway, near milepost 525.

The driver corrected to the left and exited the the left side of the road before the driver over-corrected a second time to the right causing the vehicle to overturn.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 32-year-old Steven A. Reed. The passenger was identified as 26-year-old Jacob M. Dunnuck. Neither of the Rock Springs residents were wearing a seatbelt and they both died at the scene of the crash.

The speed of the vehicle is currently being investigated as a possible contributing factor.

These fatalities will be the 54th and 55th on Wyoming’s roadways in 2020 compared to 93 in 2019, 56 in 2018 and 78 in 2017 to date.
