Coach pleased with swimmers

Head swimming coach Colleen Seiloff continues to be pleased with her boys performance.

The Wolves swimming and diving team competed at Cheyenne South Friday and in Laramie Saturday during a trip to the eastern portion of the state.

While there weren’t any new state qualifiers during the two competitions, she said the swimmers are at a level she’s expecting at this point in the season.

“They’re tired,” she said. “We swam well for this time of year.”

Seiloff said a few of the swimmers are very close to making their state qualifying times and expects four or five more to qualify by the end of the season. She said while many of the swimmers maintained their regular times, Levi Westburg and Jake Probst managed to cut time in their competitions.

On the diving side of the team, she said the divers are in a similar position with two very close to making a qualifying score.

“We’re getting some kids really close,” she said.

According to the boys’ schedule, they will compete in Lyman Friday, followed by a home meet Saturday. The home meet starts at 10 a.m. at the Green River High School Aquatics Center.
