Michelle Nicole Powers

Michelle Nicole Powers, 41, Green River, passed away alongside her companion, Kelly Walk, from an auto accident Friday, Sept. 27, 2019.

She was born May 10, 1978, in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Edward P. Thornblad and Doris N. Duncombe.

She studied hard to become a registered nurse and worked in Home Healthcare for over 17 years. She loved caring for her patients. She would always go the extra mile to make sure that they felt better and knew that they were important to her. That's what made her wonderful and loved by many.

Michelle loved being a mother. She made sure that Devlin, Ayden, Rowan, and Ian knew it. They were the light of her life.

Full of life, that's is how most people would describe her. Her bubbly personality and infectious laugh were contagious. She LOVED to dance. She was the caption of the dance team in high school and college. She choreographed so many team and solo dances. She was very competitive and loved playing board games, but absolutely was the worst poor sport when she lost. She was always reading a great book or playing an online game during the little downtime she had. She experimented in the kitchen with new, exotic recipes whenever she could.

She loved to travel, go on adventures, and attend as many concerts as possible.

She wasn't scared to try new things or to jump out of the car at the drive thru to do the dogie. You couldn't be around her and not have a good time wondering what she was going to do next.

Survivors include her parents, Roger and Doris Blasi of Green River, sons, Devlin Powers of Rock Springs, Ayden Powers and Ian Victor Keele, both of Green River; stepson, Wyatt Walk of Mt. View, daughter, Rowan Michelle Keele of Green River, stepdaughters, Ashton and Addy Walk of Mt. View, sister, Chawntelle and brother-in-law, Ryan Oliver of Raymond, Alberta, Canada, grandmother, Norene Seymour of Mt. View, and several nieces and nephews, and her best friend, Nikki Giberson.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Ted Duncombe and L. D. Seymour, uncles Les and Brian Duncombe.

Everyone is invited to a family tribute for both Michelle and Kelly, which will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, followed by a reception from 2-3 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Cultural Hall, 1000 W 400 N. St., Green River.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations at Trona Valley to help with expenses.

Condolences for family can be left at http://www.foxfh.com.
