Hard work pays off

Delaney Gardea shows a chicken at Wyoming's Big Show last week. This was just one of the many animals Gardea prepared for the fair.

Delaney Gardea, a junior at Green River High School, participated in 4-H and FFA events at the fair this past week.

This is Gardea's fifth year in 4-H. She entered into six events: cake decorating, photography, baking, visual arts, chickens and pigs.

She took home five grand champion, three reserve grand, nine first place, four seconds, one fifth and one seventh place ribbons.

Gardea worked hard this past year to prepare for her competitions. Putting in time with her pigs almost every day to prepare them for market.
