First time's the charm for Green River girl

Brylee Price won grand champion in the junior showmanship division while showing off her rabbit to the judge on Friday morning.

This is her first year participating in 4-H with her eight-month-old silver fox rabbit. Brylee enjoyed the event and will be back next year to show another rabbit.

"I'm really interested in rabbits," Brylee said. "The showmanship is my favorite part."

While she did get nervous as the judge asked her questions and didn't know the answers to all of them, she enjoyed being able to see her hard work pay off.

Because she was awarded grand champion, she had the chance to participate in the small animal round robin which will include showing a rabbit, a chicken, a cat, a dog and a turkey.

"I'm most excited about showing the dogs. I love dogs," Brylee said.

"I have two at home; a mini Australian Shepherd and Idaho Shag mix named Archer and a small Munsterlander named Molly."
